Gosford Olympic Swimming Pool reviews
27Phenomenal showers so warm and good water pressure, i was so clean afterwards 10/10 showering experience
Went there at 3.34pm was my own fault I didn’t check it was closing at 3.45pm as I’m walking off my 3 year old daughter was crying as she loves it here, so I thought I’d ask if I could take here in to jump in and told I’ve got to pay $7 I’ve been one that just copped when there was no heat in the pool a few months back and walked out freezing and didn’t complain but I won’t be coming back.
Great place to cool down in summer! Good location on the waterfront and includes both indoor and outdoor options.
Love swimming at this old fashioned outdoor pool. Great way to start the day with the sun on your back.
When you don't own a pool the next best thing is heading down to a public pool for a cool off.
Shout out to the team at Gosford Pool. Staff are always courteous and helpful. My now 4 year old has been doing the Learn To Swim program here for two years. All teachers have been wonderful, and she is gaining confidence and skills rapidly. They are open year round with only a couple of exceptions and I love the range of indoor/outdoor pools and good facilities including a selection of coffee/food if needed. My only gripe is the limited parking - we have lessons indoor on weekdays and on school carnival days I am often stuck miles away trying to get to a quick 30min lesson. I would love parking on site to be limited somehow to booked lessons on these days.
I find it frustrating that they allow people to pay for free swimming and then only have one tiny lane open (which was crowded).
Why don't they warn us that everything is being used for lessons or laps? Would have saved the money.
Pretty much the same as I remember it being about 35 years ago! An upgrade like peninsula leasure centre would be great.let's face it, it's long over due
Swimming in the big pool every morning lately it sometimes is a bit dirty up the shallow end heaps of sand and dirt needs vacuuming people.
Heated pool to 34°C is just what the doctor ordered.
More pools should have a therapy pool heated to same temperature
Wanted to relax in the hydrotherapy pool.injuries and some chronic long term pain from injuries and decades of hard labour.
Turned up at 05: 30 am.couldn't even get a lane to soak & stretch in.
All taken up by elderly who were in no hurry to make any room for anyone else.
It was an hour before I could find a place to exercise /stretches, then when I did. I was wiping my hands over my bald head & felt something around my fingers and it was somebody else's long dark hair
Then the renovated change rooms and toilets are atrocious.not a single dry spot to get changed.everything is soaked.even the toilet paper was just sitting on a hand rail completely useless as it looked like it had been submerged in water it's that damp in there.very poor design and a step backwards from the old change rooms.
I won't be wasting any more money going there. I would have been better off at home and paying to use my own hot water.
This morning had an amazing lesson in listening. Her swimming teacher speaking instructions to her quietly, then a wonderfully authentic and caring way he listened to her was amazing to see. I think his name was Templer. Thank you
Was at the pool Sunday. My granddaughter was in the hot pool with her mother standing on the edge right near her waiting for her lesson. Lifeguard came over to ask my granddaughter out of the pool. Not allowed only with an adult. Funny allowed to go into the 25 meter all on her own which she does every Sunday after her lesson. Would like explanation.
With the recent upgrade of the roof, the pools are feeling more vibrant with new skylights and the additional reflective covering that protects the space from overheating.
It's a good space for children to learn swimming and the trainers are very good. You can see they want to help kids. The outside pools are also monitored by lifeguards and the grounds are kept clean.
A valuable asset to Gosford.
Clean, well maintained pool. Staff are efficient and friendly. Nice to swim outdoors. Always best when the crew swimming are mindful of each other and patient.
I like swimming here. They have two big pools for adults. A hydro pool and two small pools for the little ones to learn.
Clean old fashioned Olympic pool in glorious setting. Reasonable entry fees and lots of pool choices for swimmers of various abilities.
Very accommodating after not being able to use hydro pool because of lessons so gave us pass for next day as we were unaware of sat lessons.
The staff are always helpful and friendly and they are always keeping the areas clean. Its disability friendly and the hydrotherapy pool is so good
We went on a Friday, just for a general swim. They had people doing laps in 3 lanes, so we stayed out of the way of them as we just wanted to cool down. After we were there for about 20 mins, we were asked to move into the lanes of people doing laps, as a school was coming and wanted to use 4 lanes. We felt really in the way, so left after a few more minutes. They really need to leave a space for general swimming, rather than just laps, or not let schools take over 4/7 lanes.
