Good Games Newcastle reviews
24Great selection of products, knowledgeable staff who clearly love tabletop and board games. Keen for them to move for some Adventure League. Probably the best games store in Newcastle.
I go here occasionally for the Yu-Gi-Oh comps. Plenty to choose from in terms of board games, card games, card sleeves, etc.
Fantastic range and selection available, priced the same as online shops. So no reason to buy online when you can see the product and get it right away. And always better to support locals instead of online. Guys were very helpful to guide me on what they had and answer questions I had today. Will be back!
Great selection of puzzles, board games, card games and dice. Super helpful friendly staff too
Staff was friendly, event they held was fun meet plenty of different people would recommend if you need anything tcg/tabletop gaming
Best games room in town. These guys have every RPG and related boardgames, card games, and paraphernalia. Need more money!
Great place to get all your gaming need from collector cards and board games. Great friendly magic the gathering tournaments aswell
Open wide range of hours, run a lot of different competitions/events, a lot of stock for a small shop, prices are reasonable/in line with competitors. Wish there was a wider range of some things (like d&d mini's), but staff are friendly and very happy order in things for you. I prefer to go here over other game stores in the region for most things
Friendly staff member happy to help with my enquires and to look up items to make sure I didn't waste half a day searching through there wide selection of miniatures.
Absolutely love GG! I've been coming to the store for years and I always feel so welcome. The staff are lovely and they have great stuff. Can't recommend enough
Really knowledgeable and was very friendly. Will be my regular place for anything to do with Magic The Gathering.
It was a very unpleasant experience, there was a gross smell and the staff weren't very helpful
The friendly staff are knowledgeable and helpful. A great range of products at competitive prices.
Good service, the place looks good since its renovation and they were very understanding with my child running around
Nice, friendly and always happy to help! I have recently started to get into a few different hobbies which the store specialises in and have nothing but praise and good things to say.
The staff here have been able to help me learn lots about the games and formats I am interested and provided me with excellent tips, even being very quick to respond online through their facebook page.
The store itself has a nice atmosphere and friendly vibe to it, it is a shame that the player areas aren't in full operation due to the current situation we are all in but this will change in time.
So a big thank you to Chris and the other staff at this store for everything and I can't wait to come back yet again.
Good Games is the hidden niche for the inner TCG player. The owners know what they're doing. The regulars are good people as well. (generally)
GG Newcastle is a TCG shop, so it's products are usually Mahic the Gathering cards, Yu-Gi-Oh cards and Pokemon cards. But, being a TCG shop, they have single cards that you definitely won't find anywhere else.
They also sell booster packs for older releases to the main three TCGs. (MTG, Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon) It goes without saying they know their stuff.
But what about something for the family? Easily solved. If you're looking for some family games but you are tired of Monopoly and Uno, GG sells more niche family games, such as Exploding Kittens and Catan, both of which are exceptional games in their own right.
Good Games also sell D&D sets as well and hold D&D nights on Thursday's at their Maitland branch. Once again, the locals are friendly and I recommend visiting these stores.
That said, don't take my word for it. Visit GG yourself! I'm sure you will find something that is totally worth it.
Great staff, decent product range. If they don't have it they will order it in fast than i can get it on eBay, often cheaper too! They also host boardgames nights
They is so much to look at in every corner of the store.it was jam packed with amazing stuff everywhere. A massive selection of so many different types of games and hobbies. Great store!
Good Games Newcastle is fantastic. The staff are extremely helpful, patient and encourage everyone to get involved
Consistently smells bad, has extremely poor ventilation, the toilets are never clean and there is unsanitary amounts of dust on the fans.
The staff however are really nice and always have the expert knowledge to help with whatever your needs are.
Nice staff are not an excuse for having a unclean and health hazard everwhere you look, it's not hard to fix these things.
