Golden Lotus Chinese Restaurant

It’s so nice to get takeaway after work when I am too tired to cook. I like special fried rice with honey chicken.

The food was very nice. The staff were friendly and efficient. It is an old style restaurant with male mine tables, however, don't let the look deter you, the food was very good.

Gross. Ordered combo soup - it was basically a few bits of beef and chicken, veg and PASTA - yes pasta - with hoisin sauce and water. No flavour at all and the meat was all gristle. 2 minute noodles wouldve been better. 0/10.

Love the food and it is very reasonably priced. We had fried rice, San choi bow and various other dishes. Their home made crispy noodles for chow mein are really good and the food is just yummy. Would recommend on any given day. Portion size is on the larger side. We be eaten Golden Lotus tomorrow as well. Value for money for sure.

I feel silly admitting I have ordered three times, and they have been unable to deliver.

When I call the restaurant the lady answering is rude, dismissive and unwilling to take any accountability. I understand they don’t have control over the drivers, but they will not engage in any conversation in the status of my order.

Considering the rudeness, will not order from them in any form whatsoever.

OMG! JUST AWFUL! Meat is so dry with all this white stuff on alot of pieces (see photo). Clearly been sitting there for A LONG TIME.
San Choy Bow is edible however floats in a huge amount of oil! Vegirs biggest disappointment as NO COLOR, SOGGY & CLEARLY COOKED HOURS AGO. If I could give them NO STARS OR LESS I WOULD. Should have anticipated this was going to be REALLY POOR QUALITY as food was not only ready after appx 10 mins, but well before Dasher had even arrived to collect it! VERY OBVIOUS ITS ALL PREMADE. Just like the 2 tubs for $9 you can pick up at a food hall at the very end of the day after sitting out in baine Marie's all day.only MORE EXPENSIVE AND MUCH, MUCH WORSE!

I've only ordered once before from this restaurant (months ago.) and in addition to putting severe allergies (esp chilli) in EVERY section incl bottle of Soda, due to my ending up in hospital if I eat even a tiny bit of chilli, I rang them 1st to advise severe allergies. Whilst Soda didn't have chilli.meat dish AND fried rice came with SO MUCH FRESH CHILLI ALL THROUGH IT & EXTRA ON TOP.they did fix this and whilst I finally got dinner 3hrs, 22 mins after ordering, it was freshly cooked & I felt I could try them again. BIG MISTAKE!

Harry's @ Ettalong Bowlo & Woy Woy Chinese.unfortunately I live at Springfield and am in isolation waiting for COVID test thanks to selfish SOBs who willing & deliberately bought it to Newcastle last week (normally would NEVER have reordered here.no choice atm).

$46 for TOTALLY INEDIBLE FOOD! If you love REALLY AWFUL CHINESE, HAVE SEVERE FOOD ALLERGIES AND ALOT OF $$ TO WATSE, THIS IS THE RESTAURANT FOR YOU!

Had delivery, their food is okay, their chicken chow mein was terrible I would have done better just boiling my own chicken add a little broth and vegetables and ate that instead. Flavour was very low on all dishes.

Probably one of the best Chinese Restaurants on the Coast. Great food, generous serves and reasonable prices.

First time ordering from here as started to get very dissatisfied with Chinese restaurant I have been using for years. I have now found my new favorite Chinese restaurant.
Ordered home delivery and food arrived steaming hot and was delicious. Highly recommend.

First time trying Golden Lotus Chinese Restaurant in East Gosford and was pleasantly surprised. Prices in the mid range with the total of $42 for a sweet and sour pork, chicken chow mein and large special fried rice. Food was fast and service was friendly. Quite tasty and would definitely return. Thank you.

Love all the food at Golden Lotus! The Mandarin Steak and Curry Chicken are two of our favourites!

Service is terrible n food is ok. Staff serve you like they doing you favour. No greetings. Dont appreciate regular business.

The tom yum is the best I have ever tasted. My partner and I also enjoyed the banana cake and ice cream. It is amazing. The place has a nice and friendly environment with efficient staff. All our meals were tasty, healthy and excellent value for money. This place is a true gem. It is so nice to see people passionate in what they do, and it translates in the quality in excellent tasting food. On both occasions, my partner and I were impressed. We will definitely come back.
