After careful research of brokers I found Max and his team from Golden Eggs. I found Max's commentary on a property group's Facebook chat and realised very quickly that he had the knowledge I wanted to tap into as I was preparing to buy my first investment property. I read all the reviews and decided to reach out and make the appointment to have a chat.
Max really knows his stuff and is passionate in sharing his knowledge. At no time did I feel pressured to commit, which I also found appealing.
When I decided to go ahead we were assigned to Christian. There is sometimes the feeling that you get reeled in and then reassigned to junior staff, but Max reassures that his team are as knowledgeable and educated as he is and he is only a phone call away. Christian is a calm and collected operator and answered all my questions promptly. In fact the whole process felt so effortless I sometimes questioned why I wasn't more stressed during such a major purchase. Not to say that it went all so smoothly. The equity release from our PPOR was a bit difficult but not due to Golden Eggs but an internal typing error on transfer when we originally bought our PPOR. This then caused the new mortgagee's solicitors to question the validity of my husbands signature to the most ridiculous levels. Max bent over backwards to drive out to our house at 8.30pm to sign all the documents again.
I can't thank Christian, Max and the back office team enough for their assistance in getting the 2 loans sorted for us. I will certainly be back for round 2. Make the first step and give them a call you won't regret it you will just wonder why you didn't do it sooner.

I came to Max and the Golden Eggs team, after having no luck with 3 other mortgage brokers. Our case was a particularly difficult one to transition out of. Without much optimism that anyone could do anything about our situation, the person who referred us to Golden Eggs said that Max specialised in situations like ours and if Max couldn’t find a solution, it couldn’t be done. "We will see" I thought to myself, and proceeded, not expecting too much. The initial consultation via zoom was very impressive, Max was very charming, down to Earth and friendly. More importantly, with his experience, confidence and with an understanding of his wholistic approach to our situation, he inspired our trust and I was left feeling as though I was in good hands. My case was then handled thereafter, by one of his staff, Samuel. I often find that proteges often don’t live up to reputation of their mentors, but in this case, Samuel was awesome. Very friendly, professional and tenacious with the banks and while my situation and application process with the banks, still proved to be difficult with many doors being shut in our faces, Samuel still was very patient with situation and relentless with the banks. Needless to say almost 18 months later, the refinance actually did come through successfully and now I am in a position I didn’t imagine was possible 2 years ago. Even throughout the whole process, if it weren’t for the Golden Eggs team, I would have given up mid application. Now my repayments are a third of what they once were and I am paying off my mortgage much much faster that I ever imagined. From a stressful financial bind to the promise of financial freedom.
