Gold Mine Guesthouse & Cafe reviews
32Visited the cafe and the coffee and ambience is lovely. Friendly owner whom has a real passion for Nundle
Amazing views. Comfy bed. The kitchen has everything. Tv works with many channels. Walk to everything. The local folks are positive and friendly & helpful. Go see Tommy, who is a real community man. Help or donate. Wool mill is amazing for a huge amount of products. Knit a Redcross trauma teddy and donate to police station, firebrigade, medical centre, ambulance station, multicultural centre. Redcross pattern to knit or crochet on the internet. See the log trucks. Eat at peel inn. Buses coaches plenty of parking.
Great little place to stay. Convenient to have the little cafe downstairs, although you do have to be a little more cautious with noise than other places. Would stay again.
Pretty average, it works, but would prefer a more modern TV, a working DVD player with DVD’s and more. Breakfast options.
Excellent accommodation. Everything lovely and clean and welcoming. Warren the owner is a very nice man who showed us to our room on arrival. Close to the pub for dinner which was a great meal. Overall a nice little get away
I stayed at the Goldmine Guest house with a heap of ladies. We had a great time in Nundle and cant wait to go back. The accommodation was spot on for our stay. Warren went out of his way for us. All of the staff were friendly and fabulous. (the beds are really comfy too) We did a tour through the Goldmine and loved all of the relics and stories in there. Thanks so much Warren. See you again
Had lunch here, beautiful hearty meal, real home cooking like it used to be. Very friendly staff, a great experience.
Warren is a wonderful host, making sure we had everything we needed for family to spend two nights together and celebrate a wedding in beautiful Nundle. The weather was perfect, the guesthouse was exactly what we needed, comfortable beds, plenty of space and the water softener that Warren has installed gave us lovely showers and excellent drinking water.
Really beautiful place to stay. Close to everything and the homestead is so nice. Just go there! We will stay there again asap!
2nd time staying here. Super comfy beds, modest breakfast included for early risers. Well priced. Clean, parking not undercover but very close to entry. Full kitchen if staying with extended family. Separate bedrooms off living area. Quality of TV and furniture much better than our usual pub stays.
Super quiet. Walk to pub for dinner.
Haven't used Cafe on site yet.
Lovely spacious rooms in an iconic building and such country/friendly service, able to dine outdoors. When you add in the beautiful surrounds it was just great!
Booked out the upstairs guesthouse with friends relaxed, cooked up a storm or three in the full kitchen and made ourselves at thoroughly at home. Very clean and comfortable. Wonderful deck for outdoor meals and amazing stargazing. A great place to relax after big days exploring. Very welcoming, friendly and unobtrusive host. Woukd love to go back.and maybe find some gold!
This is hands down our favourite place to stay in Nundle. Literally 150m from the Oakenville Creek where it runs through town, one of the many spots you can pan for gold.
Located above the historic Mount Misery Gold Mine Museum and only a short drive to Hanging Rock. Walking distance to the Peel Inn, Nundle Wool Mill and Machina Coffee and Donuts all worth checking out while your in town.
I think they are under new management as the"square pizza"they advertise is not. And 3 of us waited 45 minutes for a pizza
Had our first night at Gold Mine Guest House last night. Absolutely beautiful. Relaxing, refreshing and felt very homely.
The Owner was lovely and very welcoming. 1 minute walk to a cute little pub delicious feed.
Very relaxing but still lots of nature and beautiful atmosphere.
Waited 1 hour and 45 minutes for glorified toasted sandwiches (multiple customers had the same wait). Nobody mentioned that there could be a wait, nobody apologised for the wait - nothing. To their credit, the food did taste good.
Nice place, food was good.
Would have been 5 stars but we waited 45 minutes for our meal.
The rooms are miniscule and over priced. Nundle itself is "nice" but there is very limited to no public access to any interesting locations around town.wi-fi was accessed by an odd ticket system that was extremely annoying to use.my advice, stick to national parks and the sea side where you can access the water without being haggled by some old white men keeping you off their stolen land.the "gold mine" under the hotel is a basement filled with mannequins, the proprietor Warren is a skin flint who charges at every turn.
Lovely creamy latte, enjoyed mine museum, quite authentic, tranquil verandah setting, clean modern amenities and staff lovely
Great host. Accomodation was awesome, the room had everything you could possibly need. We will be back soon.
