Purchased a vaccum 3 weeks ago and took is back as it is defective, only to be pulled to the front of the store, away from other customers and whispered to so no one heard what was said.
When we showed the defect we were told, we were wrong, no one ever complains. When explaining that we are complaining about the product now and requested a refund as the machine was not performing as required, it was a flat out abrupt and rude "NO". When i asked so for an explanation as to why, it was more head shaking and "no". No reason, no nothing. When we asked for a manger, again, shaking and "no"
The first man serving us had the most disgusting attitude and poor customer service.
Second man to serve us, not as bad but still poor customer service.
We left with a different machine but are still incredibly unhappy, with a another dismal machine.
Would never recommend another godfreys store, especially the casula store.

Very disappointed bought a hoover quick stick
worked ok for 6 months than the battery didn't work took it in to get fixed and took over a month to get it back
6 months later battery stopped working again and they wont fix it
they were very short and rude and in no way wanted to here my side

Came in just to check out their sales and walked out with the best investment as far as vacuums go and at an unbeatable deal. The guy helping us, Yubraj, was the BEST. To be honest, he’s the reason I’m giving this 5 star review. Firstly, he’s a great and honest salesperson. He initially sold us one of his Hoover vacuums, it was the best value for money model in the entire store. He gave us a very good discounted price and we were happy so we bought it. We were also interested in the Roombas but he told us that even the most expensive robot vacuums aren’t very good or strong. But then I was asking about the best vacuum in the whole store just to compare with our recently purchased Hoover and he led us to the Wertheim 7 Series Ultimate Vacuum Cleaner. He gave us a demonstration with it where he proved 1000% without a doubt that it is the best vacuum cleaner in the whole world, and that it is even better and stronger than commercial vacuums and even popular brands with strong motors like Dyson. I mean this vacuum is insane. It will literally make your carpet brand new and suck up any and ALL dust and dirt from the very fibres of the carpet itself and even UNDERNEATH the carpet. I was so impressed with it I immediately wanted to buy it even though it was costly, it seemed worth it. The initial price was $1499 but since my mum was with us, she wanted it too and so we asked if we could have it further discounted. Basically, he gave us the best discounts for an amazing vacuum, some freebies on the side and exceptional customer service. I would highly recommend this Godfreys.
My experience with Godfrey’s and their customer service team was horrible.
I purchased a Tineco S12 Pure One about a year ago. It worked okay for a short time, but a few months in, the vacuum motor started to turn off randomly, and shortly after it wouldn’t turn on at all. So I took it to the store and they organised a repair.
Shortly after the 1st repair the same thing happened, so I left if with them to repair again. The same thing happened yet again and I told them that this would be the last repair, after which I’d like a full refund, as I didn’t pay over $1000 for such a terrible product for which I constantly needed to waste my time going to and from the store to drop off/pickup the vacuum.
I received the most recent repair about a month ago, and literally the day after I got it back the exact same thing happened. I spoke with customer service at Godfrey’s head office, who told me that they would be issuing a refund, but the technicians had to look at it first.
Based on Customer service telling me that I would receive a refund, I went and purchased a new vacuum elsewhere as the house was filthy and we had a big upcoming get together,
Various people at customer service kept promising to get back to me, but failed to every single time.they just kept palming me off or telling me they couldn't do anything. I eventually learned that they had replaced the handheld unit (the motor and brains of the vacuum) – this was the same “repair” as the first time.
Eventually they informed me that the Tineco was “repaired” and ready for pickup, even though I was previously promised a refund (FYI nobody had bothered to contact me). According to customer service, their policy was “if our technician can repair it they will, if not they will refund it”… Since they REPLACED the motor and brains of the unit, that’s technically not a repair, but customer service wouldn’t do anything about that. By that flawed logic they could replace the handheld unit indefinitely and refuse a refund until my warranty runs out.
Customer service was unable to escalate to a manager, or put me in touch with the technicians/inspectors. It seems as if Godfrey’s intentionally create a layer of separation of authority so that customer service has no power and the customer can never really have anything go in their favour.
My partner tried calling, and got in touch with a supervisor, who promised to escalate the situation to the regional manager and get back to her within 48 hours. As usual, no one got back to us.
Eventually after leaving my original negative reviews, they decided to issue a refund.
Good customer service WHEN THEY ARE SELLING THEIR PRODUCTS but when something gets wrong or even just for servicing your vacuum cleaner they will not even gonna call you back or answer your emails. Not recommended.
