Strongly Not recommend (Not even 1Star). You should not come & buy from this shop. It’s a very unprofessional. They don’t want reopen the shop looks & feels like. Makes your waist of time.

I would like to highly praise Abhay Kapur at Godfreys Chatswood, for his fantastic help with my Zenith Cordless Handstick Hoover issue today. He was not only very patient and helpful, he totally understood my issue and how to solve it, which he did perfectly well, with clear and concise communication. I believe that Abhay is a great asset as an employee and representative of Godfreys. Many thanks.

Very bad service. The staff scolded me and my husband for coming just 30 mins before the closing the time and didn't buy the one that staff recommended us to buy. The next we went an hour early to the ship, the staff shooed us away saying we are closing already. I said the website said it closes at 5 and it's just 3: 56. The guy still refused to let me and my daughter in the shop. So poorly managed and very bad mannerisms. We were further humiliated by the guy saying that we didn't buy the one with high price that he recommended.

I'm writing this review on behalf of my mother. She shared with me her recent experience with your store and I was disgusted to hear of the complete lack of customer care and support provided by your team.

She purchased a new vacuum cleaner in-store + a set of bags for delivery. Unfortunately the bags were not included in the delivery. When she called your store, she was informed that even though this wasn't her fault, she would have to come in to the store to collect the missing bags.

My mother explained that she is 76yo and is not very well. She does not have a car, so has a 45min commute on public transport to your store.

I cannot comprehend how your team was unable to rectify this error and post the missing items. It leaves me speechless.

It is no wonder people are turning to online retail. I hope you learn from this mistake and provide future customers with a much improved experience.

UPDATE:

Came back to pick up my vacuum and was served by a helpful and courteous caucasian sales person, I was not overcharged for the tagging/testing and was very pleased with the whole experience as such I have updated my review.

It was great not being treated like a nuisance simply because I hadn't purchased a vacuum, though I suppose when one needs to meet certain sales quotas then it's easy to understand how the salesperson would focus primarily on customers who are making a purchase but that doesn't mean other customers should be treated like a bother, otherwise they will not return and will advise others to do the same which hurts the business in the long run, rather you would want happy customers regardless of how much they are buying because they will likely return and tell others of their pleasant experiences, which will most likely help with sales in the long run.

[Incredibly rude customer service, came here to get a vacuum tested and tagged as I have done many times before and the white guy was completely dismissing what I was saying trying to say they didn't do that, eventually he realised what I meant and tried to overcharge me for it. Will never be back to this store until these guys learn how to treat customers properly, obviously seemed like he was frustrated at something else and was taking his frustration out on me. ]

So helpful. Staff changed my Dyson cordless vacuum battery on the spot and didn’t charge. They will even send the old battery for recycling. Recommend highly!

Customer service here is GOLD standard! Always happy to help unblock my vaccuum cleaner and Ricky recently replaced my steam mop although it was a week past warranty.

I highly recommend Godfreys in Chatswood. After purchasing a new vacuum cleaner I accidentally left my hand bag in the store. I didn’t realise that it was missing until the Manager Ricky rang me. He assured me the bag was safe and I was able to pick it up the next morning. What a relief! I have no hesitation in recommending this business as honest and trustworthy. Thank you Ricky.

Had a minor hiccup with my Hoover Ultra Power and the after sales service provided by Ricky and his team was truly friendly and understanding. Nothing seems to be a problem. Kept me informed on the progress of the repair. Really good. Keep up the good work Ricky & Co

Absolutely terrible customer service. The Indian/Nepalese guy with an Aussie wannabe accent was an absolute disgrace. Within 5 minutes made us feel like should have never walked in this store.

Mandip was great. We came in with a specific brand in mind, but he demonstrated to us why it wasn't the best for our situation and offered another one in the same price range.
When it turned out he didn't have any of that vacuum in stock, he sold us his barely-used demo model at a discount, and even threw in a pack of bags to go with it.

Terrible service. The guys tries to sell you the premium cleaners straight off the bat, does not care what you want or need. Then you take a "cheaper" product and it's thanks for coming. I had a fault with adapter and went to the store for a replacement. He says he has no stock and would call me back the next day. 2 weeks later, I call the store, and it's the same story, I'll call you back in 5 mins.

My daughter needed a vacuum as the one she had didn't remove the dog hair very well, so I decided to purchase her one as a gift. As she lives over 300kms away, I bought it the weekend before at Godfreys Chatswood so I could take it to her the following weekend when I went to visit. Unfortunately the one I bought was exactly the same as she already had so I told her I would return it when I got home the following weekend. This is where I would warn any potential customer to Godfreys to understand their refund policy. AFTER 10 DAYS NO REFUND. When I went to return the never opened box, the sales guy pointed to a printed out piece of paper and declared as it was 3 weeks I could not get a refund, I explained the circumstances and he said 'you can take a photo of the sign' I can't refund you. At this stage not only was his customer service disgraceful and unhelpful, It was pointless. My partner also called the store and asked to speak to the manager, he was told the manager wasn't in and that he would call us back.we are still waiting! So Godfreys, just so you know my next step is to contact the ACCC and formally lodge a complaint.
FYI: This is off the ACCC website regarding refunds.

'No refund' signs and expired warranties.
It is against the law for businesses to tell you or show signs stating that they do not give refunds under any circumstances, including for gifts and during sales.

Your rights under the consumer guarantees do not have a specific expiry date and can apply even after any warranties you’ve got from a business have expired.

we visited CHATSWOOD Store to buy vaccum cleaner.the sales guy seemed very uninterested and right away directed us to go to kmart in chatswood chase saying that we would get them at a cheaper price.he did not show any interest to demostrate and said we can find the manual i side.we found him to be very rude and unfit for customer service.thank you

The Sunday sales man was so bad it's worth going for the entertainment. We arrived really wanting to buy but left empty handed, as did the lady also being 'served' at the same time.
