Overall poor communication and audit handling throughout the audit process: 1) The terms used were inconsistent i.e. Stage 2 certification audit vs further stage 2 certification audit (which was not explained earlier, and made the client confused) ; 2) the auditor, the technical review team member, and the Director spoke a different language and were conveying different messages to the client; 3) long delay in handling the audit, inconsistent with the earlier promise; 4) suspected to use a blanket NC report template as majority easily addressed when some required files were found already in the folder; 5) the auditor did not check the shared correctly which had caused the gap claimed could be addressed by pointing the location of the files; 6) the audit was using an out of context standard, expecting implementation to be perfect when service has not even commenced. An unreasonable expectation.

One of their technical review team also mentioned that she works at the Commission. Not sure if this is true or not, or even ethical or appropriate to be mentioned as the auditing agency should be a separate entity from the application decision maker. The feedback above had been included in the audit report sent to the Commission. GCC is not recommended. Their reliability and credibility to audit is questionable.

I was extremely stressed prior to my audit till I met Amanda Watson, Auditor from GCC. Amanda was extremely professional and approachable which helped calm my nerves. The entire process was seamless and not at all what I had expected given stories I had heard from other organisations going through audits to become Registered NDIS providers.
