Glenworth Valley Outdoor Adventures reviews
78Stayed here over Australia Day long weekend. A beautiful place, kids & grandkids had a great time. Watching the horses move in & out of their resting paddock every morning & afternoon was just so beautiful to see. I found definitely not enough amenities for so many people as it was a bit busy which was expected. They definitely need to have some sort of security at night as just because they say 10pm is quiet time not everyone agrees & do what they want. Some people just don’t have any camping etiquette and set up way to close when there is so much room to space out. Lovely place & will be back but not during any holiday period, maybe just a long weekend
We have been going to GV for more than 8 years now.have tried all activities, mostly riding classes and trail rides. Stayed in all 4 cabins a few times. So happy with the team and the service. Keep it up guys
I did not like the site at all.
We had camped here for 2 days in Feb 2023
There was a small toilet block of only 2 washrooms to service about 60-70 people
There qre no water taps near individual camp site. Camp sites are not marked and are not levelled plain
There are not enough lights in area.
I have camped around 6-8 camp grounds with similar pricing and they had excellent facilities
This was not worth the money at all
I would never visit again and not recommend yo anyone
Also if you are scared of Goannas then watch out plenty of goannas here, they smell the food and come close to tent for food
BEWARE! During EVERY school holidays, literally half of Sydney is here (no joke) : I saw Muslims, Indians, Asians, Africans.and a few locals too, and their kids. There are NO other Camping sites available in Sydney, been booked out for months, so instead they all come here as a last resort. (Not Glenworth's fault, but people should be aware it will be VERY busy!). Staff at the TINY Kiosk are completely overwhelmed and unprepared! (Glenworth's fault). Nowhere to sit as half of Sydney are sitting at the Kiosk tables. Also, bushwalking onsite is strictly prohibited on any tracks, they are for HORSES ONLY! (Management was very clear on this when I checked in). Lots of flies which are an annoyance (but not Glenworth's fault)
Amazing location. In nature very good outdoor activities. Best for camping with kids. Best for kayaking quad bike. All activities.
Sean was a top bloke. He understood our group and made it a memorable experience. I have done quad biking elsewhere. However our guide in this situation made the difference. I will be back
We love Glenworth Valley for camping, have been twice, this year and last for camping and have had the best time. The staff are very kind and the environment is beautiful! The only issue we had is the amenities, both years. This time we had no hot water and no lights in bathroom (blue gum paddock) the entire time we were there. We asked twice and were told if not enough people then the generator is not turned on. This is kinda disappointing as we paid $300 for 5 nights and expected a wee splash of hot water and maybe a light at night. Apart from that it's is a totally amazing place!
We did the quad bike trail and it was amazing. Jordy our guide was incredibly thorough taking us through the safety drills, giving us confidence to take on the track. We wanted more of a scenic tour and he was happy to take us separately on an extended tour rather than to just go mindlessly around the race course. The drive was exhilarating and the bush tracks were so pretty. It was a fabulous bucket list experience. Totally recommend it!
Lovely place, we didn't stay there, but will in the future. We bought one of the pony's that was retiring.
Great day with the kids Blake and Keely were very accomadating and professional we had a blast
Best experience with Abseiling. Must do adrenalin adventure. Taran was an awesome friendly guide who gave clear instructions and very patient throughout the session.
Really appreciate John and Anna who were quiet helpful on Kayak and horse riding respectively. Over all Glenworth valley is good experience.
Quad bike yesterday with a group of 6 was super boring, almost felt a sleep. Flat track nothing special.
Annette lead my 7 year old and I through the rainforest to rockpools on horseback and it was an amazing experience. The horses were lovely and calm, great way to get your confidence up. Highly recommend
Overall fantastic horse riding experience. However food at kiosk is over priced. I would suggest bring your own food & drinks.
Amazing time as always. This time we went as a group of 5 adults over 4 days mid-december 2022. It's challenging physically but worth it. The only downside was the fact that we were not told to disregard the "No camping" signs that are on pretty much every single camp-site which led to quite a bit of wasted time and energy. Highly recommend the gorge
After part of our booking was made for the wrong date, GVOA was extremely helpful and provided absolutely wonderful customer service to get us in on a busy January peek day. Thank you so much - the family loved the horse riding and buggy adventures.
I had wonderful experience here yesterday when we did quad biking around 1: 30 pm with my friends. Guides were helpful and were concerned for our safety and made sure we had fun experience biking aong the route. Definitely recommend.
Nice place. A lot of visitors when we passed by back in August. Partly because there is a wedding happening and lots of visitors riding horses.
They have not improved any of the issues that people complain about in the reviews. They are a profit focused business and not an experience based business. Horses are the lowest priority. They don’t care for improving the quality of the experience whatsoever.
Great facilities for camping, team bonding, conferences and school expeds. Beautiful area.
