Love this place. Third time here. Great value, awesome breakfast included, so close to kirribilli wharf for the 5 minute ferry ride to circular quay.

Charming place located close to the ferries. It does get a little annoying if you are planning to go downtown frequently as you likely have to take the ferry every time or walk 15 mins to the nearest train station. My room was a double with a balcony. I loved the balcony and thought it was very cute. Good property for a few days and breakfast is included. Only thing I did not like was the cockroach that jumped on me in the middle of the night. It was huge!

Bed was comfy. Bathroom/toilet is small that you could hardly move. Floor, bin, sink and towel on the floor - disgusting! Plus a noisy person next door talking over speaker phone!

I've given a 5-star rating based on value for money. This is by no means a "5-star hotel", but they do very well with what they have and I saw only high standards of cleanliness.

Absolute back to basics accommodation in a fantastic near-city location. No frills whatsoever, but very clean and quiet. I was in a single room with a shared bathroom and during my three days only had to wait for bathroom access one time, for about a minute.

The staff are friendly and helpful, and reception hours are long (7: 00-22: 00). The rooms aren't serviced every day, but there's really no need and they're completely upfront about that.

A two-minute walk to the nearest ferry stop, which is then a mere six minutes to Circular Quay (unless you get on a bit early and take a 10 minute mini harbour loop tour round Neutral Bay - and why not? !). Indescribable views across the harbour towards the city and Opera House from under the Bridge on the North shore. Great restaurants and cafes a short 10 minute (very uphill) walk away.

The breakfast (included if you book direct online) is substantial and only lacking in fresh fruit and maybe some more gourmet bread - sourdough, for example. Pretty much what you expect of a buffet / bain-marie service, so not gourmet but definitely adequate for getting through most of the day.

Very safe feel to the area, I had a late night return and felt just fine despite being solo. Of course the PM is a near neighbour so plenty of Feds cruising the streets.

I'll definitely do a repeat visit if I ever get back to Sydney.

I often stay at Glenferrie Lodge as its good value and close proximity to the city means that I can take the short ferry into town when I want to. The breakfast is the highlight for me and the fact it’s included is a bargain. My only gripe is the stairs can be a problem for older knees, but I often organise with Paolo at the front desk for one of the ground floor rooms.

Disgusting behaviour from staff. We where thrown out as we had medical sharps in our room. They will be hearing from our lawyer.

Good location, beautiful neighborhood and premises, delicious breakfast, and helpful front desk. Bathrooms could be a little cleaner but that's to be expected as they're shared.

Great accommodation in an amazing location. Staff were friendly and helpful, decor was beautiful, beds were comfortable with quality linen. Breakfast was a tasty bonus - and it's evident from comments from other guests that many were repeat visitors. I can understand why! We'll be back too!

We are looking to return, with visitors from overseas, visited a few years back. The location is great, just a short walk to the Ferry to get across to the other side, room was clean and nice size, we had what we needed. Cafe served up a nice breakfast, garden was good for relaxing. Stayed with two teens in a three bed room and they both loved it, sharing a bathroom was not a big deal for us. It's good value too

Lovely quaint place. Dog friendly. Mine had a great time. Will probably Go there again very soon

Great price, clean room. Shared toilet/shower area. Great breakky. Don't forget your door-pass when using toilet in the middle of the night. Yes, caught in my undies at 2am trying to get back to my room. Great location.

Best thing about this place is the location. Easy to take a ferry or the train to the city as well as other suburbs at the northshore. Nice 25 minute walk to CBD over bridge.
Garden is lovely, with bush turkeys, lorikeets and kookaburra's, building is also great.
Staff is doing their work, but no social or friendly chats from them like you're used to everywhere else in AU. Walls in shower could be cleaner, and staff could wipe off the tables in the dining room and on top of the wardrobe in the bedrooms more often.

Great Service, location, value for money only downsides are internet isn't reliable and shared bathrooms.we had an enjoyable time

We stayed in one of the twin rooms which was small but clean and tidy. It had an air con and TV. The shared bathrooms are very small but they are very accommodating and pet friendly so this is a great option if you are travelling through the area and need a place to stay.
