A gentle, inviting and warm bookstore with character and a cozy children section. And it is a dog friendly place!

Gleebooks Dulwich Hill is a quaint little shop with a nice range of books. They sell quality cookbooks, novels and more with a great layout and cosy interior design. I highly recommend a visit to this bookstore in the good location, surrounded by cafes and other valuable institutions. I have bought MANY books from here in the past at astoundingly reasonable prices, Gleebooks contains numerous amazing books under $25, making sure not to overprice their items in the slightest. I have also found myself buying countless Gleebooks vouchers as presents for people, much to their enjoyment.

The service is excellent, the environment is pleasant, and dogs are welcome!

I think any pet owners who are also avid readers would enjoy this establishment.

Wow this is such a great little shop. Letisha the manager is just delightful, knowledgeable and helpful. The shop looks great, they have fabulous gifts, it really is a one stop shop. I always come out with not only a couple of books but also a little something extra, inside out umbrella, book light, games, blue light glasses the list goes on. Good on you & thank you

Highly agree that the book selection is amazing in this store; however I felt that the person attending the shop today was doing me a favour as opposed to serving a customer in a friendly manner. As other reviewer here, I felt treated with disdain. I feel very disappointed when I want to support a local business.

A bricks and mortar bookstore that provides excellent customer service, answered all my questions, and staff were only too happy to help me find a suitable book as a birthday present.

What can I say other than this place is awesome and it will continue to have my business!

Great selection but just didn't expect the frosty customer service at checkout. The lady didn't have clean fingers and got some lipstick on my book cover when she touched it. I wiped it off without any comment from her.

Support local and buy from your local bookshop vs Amazon. The staff here is so amazing and they organise any book you'd like that they may not have in store and readily available

Never walked in because I'd always gone to other places on the street. Until now. I'm impressed by the range of authors and genres, the nice bookshop feel without sneezing your nose off, and the polite and considerate service. Will be my go-to from now on.

I so want to love this bookshop, great cosy shop, fabulous cafe next door. But every time I walk in I'm greeted with a frown or disdain. I wish that Gleebooks would convey this feedback to their management and do something about it. This place could be so much better! I want to buy local but instead I'll go online.

Great book selection but staff lack basic personal skills and politeness. Makes me think twice before I go in there. May as well buy online so I don't have to deal with grumps

Great books but staff don't seem very friendly. I was not even greeted with a hello or anything at the register when I went to purchase something.

Lovely store in a quit area, staff were very helpful and knowledgable. Elissa was more than happy and eager to share her knowledge about Science Fiction. Highly Recommend!

I do love this bookshop but I have found the service to be consistently unfriendly over the years, both on the phone and in person. Not to everyone, just some people. Not sure why. My overall impression is poor eye contact, gruff manner and abrupt conversation (if staff stop chatting to each other, or doing their stocktake, to address you in the first place). It seems nitpicky to point this out, but it really has left an impression on me. Whenever I want to go in there, I do think twice. However, the fantastic book selection sometimes makes me go in anyway!

Just happen to be walking by with my dog and decided to I take a look. Been looking for a particular book lately.
The gentleman working was very helpful. Found what I was looking for straight away, and the book was discounted!
So if I find somewhere that lets me take my dog in and the service is great I'm a pretty happy customer.
Would definitely recommend this nice little bouquet book store:)

Great selection of books and fantastic, genuine service. I can see why it's always packed with customers, this is a gem in the local shopping strip.

Unfortunately short on reference works and novelisations of the hit Fox Television show: "Glee" (2009-2015), but once it was explained to me that the word Glee actually means "great delight", and the bookstore was actually named after that feeling rather than the hit Fox Television show "Glee" (2009-2015), my qualms were positively quashed. Yes indeed, I felt "great delight" when experiencing the customer service from the helpful staff, and browsing the small, curated selection of excellent books. 5 Stars.

Very helpful. Transferred a book across from parent store in Glebe for me to pick up in Dulwich in a couple of hours.

Lovely concise bookstore with a gr8 range of Australian literature and hardcovers, plus a good children's area at back.
