I would highly recommend GJ Gardner Penrith to anyone looking to build a new home! I have had the most seamless experience from sales through to construction and I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

I had the best experience through Penrith GJ Gardner. They were very attentive to the details of my home and will always happily recommend them to anyone who wishes to build.

The actual building process itself was okay, post-handover however was not, hence the 2 stars. Our handover was in February 2021 and rectification works of defects were not complete until November 2022 (for now, hopefully nothing else pops up as we are exhausted). Even with the NSW lockdown and challenges faced within the building industry it should not have taken that long to complete rectification works. They were continuing to hand over new homes whilst we were waiting for our rectification works to be complete - there is no excuse. The majority of tradesmen they engaged evidently have zero pride. Fortunately we engaged our own tradesman to do some additional work as he noticed the timber GJ's trade used for bearers and joists on our outdoor deck did not comply with Australian standards. The last 20 months has been very stressful and has zapped the joy out of owning this home. We know of other people who have built with G. J. Gardner Homes Penrith who have faced a similar time to have all of their defects attended to. We do not recommend G. J. Gardner Homes Penrith.

After leaving an enquiry and going into the branch, nobody has bothered to come back to me. Disappointing that it is so difficult to get a sales person to engage with a customer.

You only get one chance at a first impression and our first one was very impressive. Both of the owners, Brent and Dean, separately introduced themselves to us when we first came into their office and our first meeting with Louise filled us with confidence. From the very first visit to their office until handover the whole experience was wonderful. All the office staff we met including Vemae and Rod were very friendly and attentive and always happy to see us. Our Building Supervisor Peter was always available to answer questions and Theo was a wonderful help in the final stages. We have just moved into our new home and love it. There was no such thing as a problem, only a solution. I would have no hesitation in recommending G J Gardner Penrith to anyone looking for a builder to build their own home and without hesitation would absolutely use them again if we were to build again in the future.
