WOW! What an excellent business this is! I have never come across a business that is excellent in all areas. The most highlighted is the disposition of ALL staff members, starting with beautiful Stacey as receptionist whose cheery disposition welcomes your call with proffessionalism and efficiency, you know she is trying her best to suit your need and give you as much information for your requirement as possible. The two owners, Paul and Scott with their knowledge, evaluating experience and skills will amaze you at how they can make a difficult expensive problem, quoted by others become inexpensive with a better permanent solution be surprisingly cheap! Quoted by dealer over $1700 just for labour before parts, but Gibbo's did the completed job for less than $400 by being prepared to brain storm with all staff for an alternative access to complete the repair! On the same day I also had my motorhome's in house power supply updated with the same result, an alternative to what others suggested with a super battery charger that boosts both battery and solar as soon as the sun rises, for such a greatly reduced cost. Recommending this wonderful team of people is such a pleasure and will always be ongoing for me for anyone in the Hunter district requiring an auto electrician and air conditioning maintenance, Gibbo's is your 1st choice, as they are with me! I went to Gibbos Auto Electrics to get a passenger window electric motor and regulator that had stopped working fixed Went there Tuesday they had a look at it ordered parts back on Friday fixed. Highly recommend this place great friendly staff that do a good job!

The service is exceptionally good. They know their job and do it well. I had an issue with an install and they immediately dropped other jobs to repair and test.

I called these guys at 8.20am Monday morning and by 9.45am I was walking out of there with a new battery. The went out of their way and were able to fit me in even though they were booked out. Very helpful and knowledgeable team, I would definitely recommend. Thanks again.

My brake lights decided to stay on permanently which made the car unsafe to drive as well as having to disconnect the battery when car not being used so as to prevent it going flat. Went to Gibbo’s and basically couldn’t get past the receptionist who simply said ‘I can book you in for mid to late January’. I explained the situation but she did not even bother to see if anyone could take a quick look. Best thing she did was tell me to take it to another place up the road. Despite them being busy they dropped everything to take a look, diagnosed the problem and replaced the necessary part in no more than 10 minutes.

During and after solar panel installation on an RV I had to have them correct 2 things they weren't doing to my satisfaction. Plus the panels weren't raised above the roof to allow for cleaning underneath as requested at time of quoting. They said it's the shape of my roof. They should have used different brackets to accommodate my request or at least talk to me about it before drilling holes in my van roof

Returned vehicle after trialing panels a few times to report panels weren't charging to expectations. Was told nothing wrong with them. However they did work much better afterwards.
Returned again saying 240 charger fan not coming on when plugged into 240. I repeated it always comes on initially when plugging in. Was told it only comes on when needed. I repeated same again.no reply.
Am away on an extended road trip now.the fan never comes on and the charger gets hot.of course so I can only plug in for short periods until I can get to another autoelectrician who is more competent. Not happy with this service! A friend installed new fan, cost me $17 plus a carton of beer.easy fix when you can be bothered.

Had an auto elec problem and hadn't booked vehicle in as on our way heading north. Had Scot fix promptly with a helpful and friendly manner. Reasonably priced and excellent service. Would recommend.

I had a quote of over $2000 from a local mechanic to fix my aircon.
Thought this was probably a job for Aircon experts.
Scot and his team had a look and fixed it for $1200.
I'm a very happy camper.

I definitely won’t be back. After noticing the installation of a safety Dave camera that was installed, wasn’t completed properly, I rang expressing my concerns and was told to come back and the problem would be rectified. I drove back today from Port Stephens to get it rectified only to be treated very poorly.

The lady at reception at first didn’t welcome me back and seemed to question my concerns, despite the staff member on the phone apologizing profusely when I rang a few days prior.

After waiting for 10 minutes by my car for someone to come out to see what they were going to do, no one came out. On going back to desk, I was advised I simply had to wait as everyone was on a break. Thanks for telling me. NOT!

Eventually a worker approached my car and began work with no communication. He walked past me when he finished and just said “It’s Done”. I was made to feel like a leper.

Paul O’Brien and his company was highly recommend by a mechanic I have used in Port Stephens, but after this experience I will never return.

If the job had been done properly in the first place, this would have never happened.
