Genneral Staircase

Changing from 5 stars to 3 as they are good, but it's all on their terms and not easy to deal with. Can't fault their quality though.

They have the most incompetent drivers I have ever encountered, you should make sure they know the road rules before they are allowed to drive their Mazda utes with your markings on them

Best staircase company I have ever delt with.there team is so efficient and they really do go out of there way to accommodate.it's good to work with a business that knows there stuff.highly recommend

I walked into the General staircase office in Wetherhill park today morning. We had conversation with them previously and then walked into the office. No one previosly during our conversation informed us that an appointment is required and the online site does not say anything appointment well.

But when i walked in today, they asked me to take appointment and come another day. It may be correct from their perspective but it was not communicated to me and I had no clue about this.

They girls at the reception were not really empathetic and don't even have the patience to listen. Not even tried to offer an alternate time slot for me. I felt that they were kind of argumentative and unfriendly.

Not sure about the quality of the product.strongly feel, they need improvement in terms of customer service

We have been looking for a builder for 3 years to complete Balustrades to our stairs. Some how we kept attracting the wrong builders as many seemed to have no idea so we gave up! Can you believe that one Guy drew a circle on a image of our stairs and said it would look some thing like this and then quoted a ridiculous amount! 2 Months ago I happen to see a General Stairs Van and wrote down the number. I then called and was put through to a sales person (Kim Dang) who invited us to their showroom! We thought a good start so went. On arrival we meet a very professional Kim Dang who takes us to the showroom and then studies our stairs and recommends the best balustrade! We thought we were in heaven! But get this, she then produces a computer with an image of our stairs and Lounge room and the adds the images of the stairs so we can see the finished job! My wife looked at me stunned! Kim then issues a quote which was very fair price. Unbelievable after 3 years. I'm thinking how did I miss these guys! 2 weeks later they are on site to measure and then another 2 weeks the installer (Jason) arrives who is the most professional tradesman we have ever had in the house! Take it from me if you are talking to anyone other than General Stairs you should stop talking and call Kim Dang at General Stairs. If anyone wants to verify this story then feel free to contact me. Great staircase showroom and friendly staffs. I think they are the biggest manufacturer and supplier in Australia. Wide range of choice and depends on your pocket too.

Worst worst job ever! Bad workmanship: many chips, dips, scratches on stairs when delivered, and they always find excuse to refuse to repair those defects as warranty items.

They did very bad staircases. Higher price compared to other companies but the received service is very poor. The worst job I have ever seen!

True gentlemen and worked with us around the kids.

We had the privilege to see talah, who answered all our questions professionally although not responsible for our profile. We left satisfied and happy with our final decision. I recommend this company for the trustworthiness of it's employees and consultants such as Talah.

After having a few issues with them, a contact from the manager and a rep coming out to discuss plans moving forward, all issues have been rectified, kim the rep was great and look forward to seeing the outcome of there work. Will update when job is complete.

Good from far, far from good, the final product of our stairs is average at best, the customer service has to be one of the worst, it takes days of multiple of calls and messages to get a response, which then takes weeks to have someone come out to see the issue. The tradies themselves are great to deal with, but the final finishes was still below par

I would never use or recommend this company again. At the start great, At the end lies, Rudeness & Complete joke to deal with. Shop elsewhere!

Robert Nguyen. (5 stars service) write down this gentleman name.he was so profissional, helpful and very knowledgeable. He attended our case after we were referred to him by our builder. Robert worked out different solutions and options to get the staircase arrangement that fit what we needed in our new home. Very clear and honest person.

Good Price and above all excellent service and follow up. A pleasure to do business with and the final stair was legendary. Out with the old and in with the new. More than happy to recommend them.

We had our floating staircase built as part of our masteron home.

The stainless steel rail was marked and stained and required a month of polishing to look decent.

The steps which were meant to be Victorian ash are veneer and have split. Once step has been replaced and many await repair and painting. No one has come to complete the work and we are 9 months post moving in. No contact from general stairs.

This for a premium staircase costing over 20K?

Please do yourself a favour and avoid. If I could give zero stars I Would.
