Gary assisted with a complex tax matter that required consideration of both GST & CGT & meeting with Gary before the end of financial year to receive tax advice has saved us over $20000 in tax.

I don’t know why this company has a high rating star may be most of them are fake or are asked to give the rating. Avoid this business if you can. There are many accounting companies out there way better and offer a much lower fee.

The team at GC Accountants have worked hard to get problems solved from my previous accountants and give me clear direction moving forward.

Be careful with this company. They gave a reasonable price at first and then they charged a ridiculous amount of money (even didn't sign the contract they still have the term you have to pay the money)

This company is a scam. They did the tax return without giving the quote and then issue a way overcharged invoice (page 2 on their contract has the term that benefits them -you have to pay the money even if you not sign the contract) which they didn’t notice you before hand. I didn’t hear from them when I asked them about how my tax return progress so I lodged my tax return myself. They insisted I have to pay for the service which is 460$ for a simple tax return. I was not happy and want to dispute they handed me over to ec credit control and I was annoyed and bullied on the phone with the credit person so today I made a payment not because I feel that I own them money but to teach myself a lesson that I have to research carefully and avoid filthy business like Gc accountant. I would recommend everyone not to involve with this type of company. I would give them minus star if i could.

I was fortunate to have the team at GC Accounting guide me through the process of setting up my business, Thermotherapy Now. From registration to setting up the books, everything was done efficiently and I got personal tutoring in how to use Xero etc. All the follow-ups have been similarly efficient with genuine concern about doing the best for me and the business. As my first foray into owning a business, it has been a huge load off my mind to know that everything is set up as it should be.
I highly recommend Gary and his great staff to anyone new to small business, and wanting to start out on the right foot.

If you don't do exactly what they ask they swear at you and bully you. I felt belittled by Gary. I refuse to every recommend him or GC accounting to anyone!

In the end I got the advice I needed to do my tax return myself for free, it was a lengthy conversation (45 min) with the ATO, they ran me through every detail for free. They even pointed out things I had missed that saved me money. No need to pay for advice just ask the horses mouth.

I’ve recently moved to Newcastle & was looking for a local Accountant which led me to GC Accountants. Gary & his team determined that my Xero file needed some help & so they set about organising it which in turn helped organise me & my business (which is what I needed), so I can now relax knowing that my BAS and Tax Returns are being done correctly and lodged on time & I have money put aside to pay the tax that is due. I outsource all the tedious GST & BAS work to GC as I want to focus on my growing my business.

A little bit pricier than other places but i really appreciate their thorough system of looking into every little thing that could possibly be useful for the tax return. I have been with this team for 3 years and everytime i give them everything that i thought was deductible they would call back and mention a bunch of other things that i hadn't known about that nicked me 1 or 2 grand in the final outcome. Very happy with them.

Gary & Rene helped me to ensure my company was correctly registered with ASIC and the ATO. They also set my company up on Xero and showed me how to keep track of my tax records in an easy manner.
