Nice walk along the river. But watch out for leeches! My wife and I both picked up a little hitchhiker.

Did the short return trek from seaforth oval to bantry bay. Distance not much but the steps. Loved the bush and the bay.will definitely explore more of this magnificent area.

Lovely loop walk! Bits of shade to help with the heat of the day, some rock clambering which added to the fun!

With lockdown we've started walking the local trails and we've found a few in Garigal National Park that are great. The Cascades walk is one of the favourites although it is a more traveled trail so you'll run into a few people. If you're after a quiet nature walk without too many people around it might not be your thing but there are less busy trails to choose from in this beautiful park.

Beautiful walk right on our doorstep. Some parts are quite challenging but well worth the effort.

A very nice park with a lot of access points to lookouts, bike trails and hikes. There seems to be a lot of people on bikes here and with a lot of narrow hiking tracks it can be dangerous. Be aware of the bikes and they normally shout out on approach. Some tough and easy trails to do here. Amazing lookouts located in the park too. Some give you a view of the city. We will be back again.

Beautiful, quiet, near to nature.great place for a weekend.
It takes 20 to 30 minutes to reach The Cascade lookout. Coming back is a little difficult due to uphill. But one can cover in 40 to 45 minutes.

It is really a peaceful and extremely beautiful place. We went there for hiking/ bush walking. We walked along the middle harbour creek loop. It says its a grade 5 hiking track (5 hr and 45 mins/ 15.1 km circuit). We used printed map (thank god) because the tracks are unclear and they do not have proper signs. It is very easy to get lost for someone new since, the network coverage is bad in some areas. There are no water around so do not forget your bottle to stay hydrated. Furthermore, we only met very few people in the tracks. However, the view is amazing and neverending. It is very refreshing.
P. S.there are some wet areas which does not get much sun. You may meet some suckers (leeches). Enjoy

Very scenic and peaceful national Park by the river. We went to the picnic area and it didn't feel crowded even though there were quite a few people there. Plenty of space. The trees provide enough shade to enjoy a picnic even when the sun is out in summer. There was a cool breeze by the river when we visited towards end of January. We also saw plenty of canoes and kayaks in the water. Lovely place for a fun day out with friends or family. Please note that pets are not allowed as it is a national Park and vehicle parking fees applies if you don't have a national Park pass.

Beautiful natural park to go hiking so much to see.
Me and my wife did the Frenchs creek track which leaves from Wanniti Rd.
This track starts on dead end street the track is a little ruff but has heaps of cascaded and mini waterfalls which the trail follows pretty much the entire way.
This trail is quite steep and has pebble like rocks and can get slippery under feet so take care.
The walk is well worth having a look with mini bamboo forests, little water holes, cascades and bird life.

This is one of the most beautiful parks in Sydney, it is about 30 min from city by car. There is a nice winding road that takes you through the bush with great scenery, there are lots of water view and parking areas, it is not crowded. One drawback though there is an entry fee of about (A$30) and the cafe place was closed back in December: - (Gates closing is at 5pm.

Nice park on the riverside it has a boat ramp and plenty of pay parking, make sure you purchase a ticket or you'll be getting a ticket, there's plenty of shaded areas and some BBQ'S, can get very busy at certain times of the year. Nice and peaceful when not busy.

Remarkable MTB trails! How they got government support for these technical trails in our litigious little world surprises me. So much fun, beautiful terrain, wonderful wilderness and pwwetty rainfalls.

One of the best areas of urban bushland. Full of trails, paths, creeks, bluffs and bush. This place is a playground for outdoor enthusiasts. Cyclists, trail runners and hikers alike.

Highlights include the Cascades between st Ives and Davidson and the bluff lookout over middle harbour, accessed from the south side of French's Forest.
