Full Throttle BBQ & Cafe

I went down for the Wheeler Dealers meet and greet and had a great time! The staff were friendly, food was AMAZING! And overall a great place that I highly recommend and will be going back to regularly!

The food was very delicious but a little bit expensive. We have to wait for a while to be served. Unfortunately the meat pie was sold out. We would love to come back again.

Not much to say, hands down, best bbq I've ever eaten. Friendly staff. Try to call in at least once a week

Great melt in your mouth brisket and crunchy chips and tasty burgers and the coffee is nice as well. Helpful, hospitable staff. Take away food and covered outdoor seating.

Had the brisket cheece buger. OMG how good is that. Yummo. Definitely going back again. Bit pricey but worth it.
Previously had the Brisket cheece and jalopeno pies. Again very nice.

Be nice if you could update your website with your opening times.
It says on your website that you open at 5am.
I turn up at your locked up shop at 5am
And some tired Sheila is walking around inside setting up table's and chairs and just looks at me.
In the mean time im still standing there patiently waiting and then notice a note stuck up in the corner of the door
We open at 6am for retail!
Thanks for wasting my time and tell your tired waitress to show a bit of enthusiasm and come to the door and inform me, instead of just looking through the glass doors at me like lost tired human being!

Fantastic been there a fair few times. Never disappoints. Update still fantastic. Little bit dearer now but still worth it.

I went here for the first time, and let me tell you! Best brisket I've ever had. This place is so much better than smokey hot and saucy. You get a wonderful portion of meet and don't feel like you're about to have a heart attack. Wonderful flavors, juicy, tender. I can't wait to try the pies when I can.

Had Reverse seared Brisket cheeseburger was awsome. This time had a Texas Brisket burger with apple slaw was great.

OHH MY GAWWWD! I will forever dream of this until my next visit to Newcastle. My taste buds are extremely satisfied.

Pull pork was really good, everything else was meh.

Young girl at the front can do with more customer service training.

Had a trio burger with brisket, pulled pork and chorizo. Amazing and better than what I've had in the US at similar eateries. Definitely for meat lovers. I haven't met the owner, buy my son had and says that the owner has great knowledge about BBQs

I’ve had a few good pies from full throttle. BUT ordering their “big” Brekky wrap I was absolutely shocked and disappointed in the lack of value. It was a small wrap, ONE egg cut in half, HALF a kransky, HALF a hashbrown, and two small small sizes of pan sized bacon. I couldn’t believe it, the thing didn’t even touch the sides of my stomach. Steer clear of this one. Other bakery’s and take away stores are giving you three times the value for less money. Pick up your game.

Fantastic food! Great selection. Quick service from friendly staff. Fantastic selection of BBQ accessories, rubs, sauces, etc. All at fair prices. Have returned here several times!

My local host just loves this place! I liked the coffee but they had more sauces than you could poke a stick at, lots of seasoned meat in the fridge and all sorts of tasty treats for breakfast lunch and dinner.
These guys win lots of barbecue competitions and they even sell new barbecues!
Wish it was lunch time when I went there instead of after breaky!

One star deducted for selling out of pies before lunch time and for the small size of the pies.
I was back in Newy for the day yesterday so I had to hit up Full Throttle as I have heard so much about them. I arrived at 11.45 and all the pies had sold out! So, I grabbed a frozen 4 pack of brisket, jalapeno and cheese (and some kransky's) and took them home to Port Macquarie. I have a car fridge/freezer now so no troubles there. I had a peek in the box as I loaded them into the home freezer. These are a good looking pie.
So lunch today. These are a small pie weighing just 200 grams making them one of the smallest pies I have reviewed. At $8.25 per frozen pie, they need to be good. And they are! Lots of visible cheese and jalapenos. The brisket and gravy was superb. The puff pastry top and shortcrust base held together well. This was a 9.5/10 pie and probably the best brisket, jalapeno and cheese pie I have had.

Fantastic food as always. I had the brisket, jalapeno and cheese pie and it was 10/10. Very nice coffee as well.

I have also had the BBQ and it was also 10/10.

Do yourself a favour and visit you will not be disappointed.
