Friends of the Koala reviews
15 Staff here are very passionate and knowledgeable about the work they do. The community is very lucky to have such amazing people taking care of our Koala’s and releasing them back home. It would have been difficult and heartbreaking to navigate through the fires & the floods. Thank you for all the work you do!
And for visitors - don’t forget to donate! They accept card
Association that collects heals and koalas and releases them
To really do and help if possible
The care and support I was given over bringing in a (first time mother and her pinky Joey from a deliberate hit and run in front of me,) was overwhelming. The lady even reparked my suv for me I was deeply grateful for their time and support. And to meet the permanent resident koalas was comforting. Please support this charity and slow down in koala zones. Because this tragic event will never leave me.
This was the highlight of my Lismore trip. I learned a lot about Koalas. The staff is friendly and dedicated to saving Koala. I would highly recommend the daily session at 2pm.
Amazing visit- great work! Please go here rather than to a zoo! Highly recommended tour! Call in advance
I love being able to improve the environment by planting natives and koala food trees whilst also knowing that my purchase of plants fund the ongoing rescue, support and rehabilitation of koalas. Win, win.
A very caring atmosphere for both volunteers who work as carers, leaf collection, maintaining the centre and clinic. Everyone pitches in to do the best of their ability. It can be challenging learning curve for us as volunteers. However it's well worth the experience.
Everyone from administration, the committee head and such. Appreciates what care we all offer to the local koalas in care.
Thank you for what you have done, for what you do, for what you will do working in honesty of creative consciousness for real Love, for real Help for the Koalas, in the sacred respect of their animal identity in harmony with Life, Nature, Death, with sacred respect for their nature, for their real light of conscience, for their real freedom and the Nature in which they born, live, die, in the infinite Poetry of Life, Nature, Death, really Loving She so that She really Love us, you, your real merits are recognized to you, Always, Everywhere, Anyway, Because we Believe, really good morning, good work! <3. <3
The Lismore region has one of the highest population of koala's in NSW. Friend's of koala's centre an entirely voluntary organization.
Koala Centre provide guided tours and souvenirs for visitor's.
If you like plants, you can go to little nursery on territory of the centre. All erea surrounded by native trees and plants.
Interesting information session and tour. They do good work rescuing orphaned and injured koalas
Rescue group doing amazing work. Don't expect to come here and cuddle the koalas. They care for sick or injured koalas. Not a zoo!
Wonderful caring people doing an amazing job! Such a beautiful feeling about the koala sanctuary! And the most adorable residents! If you are thinking of volunteering or know someone who loves furry cuddles send them here for a great experience helping our beautiful native wildlife
I really appreciate their work but I think while lots of internationals are in the Uni, they can have more program and get more funds as a charity.
The best place to visit ever if you are a koala lover. They offer daily tour (twice a day during weekdays and at 10.00am on saturday) very informative. Lovely staff will explain with all their passion how they take care about them, give you so many info about koalas.they do such a great job! Suggested 100%!
Everyone is a volunteer and they are very dedicated to saving the local koalas. No matter what's happening you can call for help or advice 24/7.
