6We came for a special event on Sunday and tried Lithuanian potato dumplings "Cepelinai" which were out of this world! We had to call the chef Aušra to pre-order these because they take 4h to make. We ordered mushroom and ricotta cheese versions. I know they are not on the regular menu but at least you can get the beer "Kanapinis" any time. The best beer in a long while.rich, smooth, hint of honey, not too heavy.
I am a local in mascot and noticed this cafe recently underwent renovations and had a menu change. I decided to support them and dine in for breakfast however my experience was very negative. The dishes were simple, however we waited a very long time, and the food was not prepared properly. For example, I got the haloumi blt on Turkish (this is how it is described on the menu) and received white bread, untoasted, with raw bacon (after waiting 30 minutes). My sister ordered the scrambled eggs on toast and again, waited 30 minutes only to receive overcooked, grey eggs on burnt white bread. The food didn’t come out all together and everyone on my table received their food at different times. I am in no way attacking the staff that were there. It was clear they lack training and direction, and honestly, it seemed they didn’t have any clue on what they were doing. I am confused as to why the chef in the kitchen doesn’t know how to prepare the items on the menu. I would expect if a cafe is newly open, that the owner or a manager would be there to ensure things are up to standard. Not just two young girls running the shift by themselves not having any clue.
Rude service! & mediocre coffee in the morning a Asian woman serving absolutely rude service.
I will never be buying from this “caffe”
The food was absolutely terrible. I felt like the staff didn’t even want us. There would never consider going back.
Awesome breakfast. Portion was 10/10, tasty and friendly service. Definitely going to try again on my next trip.
