I had a great customer service experience with Kara and Lachlan yesterday and today. They helped me to fix a stressful situation. They were friendly, efficient and professional. Communication was excellent. I now feel like I have had a positive experience with Freedom furniture Balgowlah.
I just wanted to say a big ‘Thank you’ to Lauchie at Balgowlah Freedom for helping me purchase my couch, the Sorrento modular! It’s so comfy and hard wearing, I can’t wait for it to arrive! We received the best possible customer service from Allan at the Balgowlah store.
He went absolutely above and beyond to help us fix up a mistake we made with our order, and was extremely helpful and over communicated through the process.

Never rings back, never have staff available. Honestly one of the worst companies to deal with. Can't even find a number for their complaints department
Worst shopping experience so far: Ordered 8 months ago and I haven't received my order yet.
The item I ordered was discontinued and they didn't bother calling me! After a few months that I didn't receive my order, I called them and emailed them so many times so I could eventually reach out to them and understand that the item is not available anymore and they gave me options to refund or select another item (in the same price range).
I didn't like those items they offered me (colours didn't match my room) and I wanted to use the same discount percentage to buy another item which suddenly they increased the price for this new item from $600 to $1000!
I had a discussion with the store manager and he said that this is the new price and we cannot sell it to you with the price that we sold you 8 month ago and if you want to buy this new one we calculate the percentage for you but with the $1000 price tag! And if you are not happy we can refund your money!
If I wanted to refund why I gave my money to you a few months back?
Why I waited this long and no one updated me with my order status?
Why I have to buy something that its colour doesn't match my room?
Why ~50% price increase in a week?
Why I couldn't buy the new item with the price at the time I ordered?
Was it my fault that item is discontinued?
Was it my fault that you didn't call me once you noticed item is not available?
On the other day, I called the store and after waiting around 30 minutes on the line I finally could talk to someone in-store to just select one of the options they gave me. She was busy and had a customer at that time so asked my number to call me back by the end of the day. I'm still waiting for her call!
I tried another time and this time I didn't accept their excuse to call me back and I just ask them to finalise my order and send me the only remaining option. The delivery time for this item was 4 weeks.
After 5 weeks I didn't receive the item nor received any update from the store, called them again and someone in-store confirmed that I'll get an SMS "THIS" week and I'll need to confirm the delivery time.
Today is Friday and last day of "THIS" week and I haven't received any SMS yet. What do you think? Do you think I can get my order by the end of today? I don't think so:)
This store never answer their phones, I tried for days to get through with no response, even their central call centre was unable to get through to the store. When I was finally able to make it in store, there was no apology, the manager was rude and did not even so much as apologise for the poor delivery condition of the goods I had received.
Can't fault the team at brookvale freedom. We ordered the Cancun bed. Item was delivered promptly, within 1 week. Items were well packaged (No damage) and exactly what we were looking for. Thankyou Freedom!
The customer service in this branch is terrible. I ordered an item and was told it would be delivered in 3 weeks. After 3 weeks there was still no communication. I finally got hold of staff and was then told my item would be delivered in 3 months! I tried multiple times to call the store and the phone would continually ring out with nobody bothering to answer. I sent an email instead which still remains unanswered. I will not be using this branch ever again!
My wife has waited 15 weeks for a table that still hasn't arrived yet. They have booked in 3 delivery dates and then just not shown up on the day, with no contact. The Balgowlah office has answered the phone once in 30 attempts and the head office chatted with her, put her on hold for 20 minutes and then hung up. Twice. Can't wait to see this table.
I have purchased many items from Freedom Balgowlah over the past 3 years and not once have I been able to take the goods with me. I am always told the item will be available in a "couple" of weeks. It has NEVER been a couple of weeks, more like 9-12 weeks. It is appalling service! At least be HONEST Freedom and tell the customer the truth. Definitely the last time I shop there.

Helpful and pleasant staff, but nothing seems to be in stock even in their essentials range so everything is 6+ weeks away.
I think this is one of the biggest stores in the group. Good selection of household accessories, furniture.
It's a Freedom store - they are all much of a muchness but the parking is easy and it is centrally located in Balgowlah servicing the Northern Beaches
Cheap but functional furniture. Often out of stock of anything you want and be prepared to pick up & transport yourself.
