Frankie's Pizza reviews
70A little Napoletano of Italy in a somewhat weird location - but don't let that stop you! Their service is excellent, the food is as authentic to Italy as you can get and the venue itself is quite charming. They are always busy and it is easy to tell why.the best quality and best value for money. Bravo! Well done guys and gals.
I quite like it!
Very loud music and hipster atmosphere.
Pizza taste is normal, don’t have any expectations for the pizza.
Just enjoy the music and vibe, you would like it then.
Bouncer was rude and made sarcastic remarks was so turned off didn't even bother coming inside. Judging by other reviews people have had similar issues and experiences. Better venues with a similar scene in Newtown, don't bother.
Good atmosphere, sausage pizza i had tasted aight, awesome crust, but like then some of it was raw?
but the pepperoni pizza looked and smelt awesome: (
Cool place to hang out with group of friends. However, music is loud so if you want to talk you gotta talk louder. Drinks are good. Frozen margaritas are strong.
Pizza was average nothing too special, music was live and very loud. My favourite place was the quite private bar down the fire stairs behind the stage, it was like stepping away from everything.
Can never go wrong with Frankie's, they're offering live music again which makes this place feel alive. If you love rock n roll you'll love it here, by far the best bar Ive been to
Went for a quiet drink on Wednesday night (26/5). Bouncer asked for ID. I asked (as a 50 year old) whether he thought I was under 18. He said “your mum is looking for you” to which I replied “she is deceased” and asked him to apologise. To which he refused us entry. Please remove the idiots from your door.
This is must visit in Sydney! Cosy, casual and vibrant atmosphere. They run regular live music gigs and the pizzas are amazing! Super easy to get to by train. Reasonable prices and the pizzas especially are worth every cent. Much recommended, won't disappoint.
Got Margherita and a Pork Sausage delivered to our hotel room through Deliveryroo and was please rely surprised. Wholemeal thin base with a mega puffy crust and authentic style toppings. Scores from the fam: 11yo daughter 3,9yo daughter 6,7yo son 4, Dad 9 (the main comment was that the slices were too big, smh I dunno kids these days they are hard to please)
Fun, loud place with sliced pizza. $6.50 for each slice. Very chaotic to order. You have to line up to wait at the bar and then wait for whatever sliced pizza is available. We tried Magherita, mushroom and pepperoni. The Magherita was my favorite. Nice cheese and tomato sauce. The crust is good but the edge might get tiring to chew after a while. The mushroom is pretty alright but has some unique egg yolk sauce. The pepperoni is good but was a little sweet. Like Chinese barbecued pork - bak kwa.
Classic, old school bar. The pizza is great as well as the music. Look out for the writing on the walls there's some interesting comments.
Frankie’s is like a magical wonderland with amazing pizzas, hard rock djs, amazing bartenders with sharp banter, heavy rockin live music, mysterious Apple drinks, and cheap beers. If you wanna rock out this is the place. Experience it while you can! I had one of the best nights of my life here!
Frankie's Pizza is my go to shop, pizza is just immaculate on every possible level, did find however they make pizza with pineapple which made me cry a little but it wasn't me getting it so it was fine, Frank is such a nice guy we go back decades really wish we could see each other more xx:)
Awesome atmosphere, killer music and their bar service was excellent. If you’re looking for a fun night out in Sydney, here is a great spot to go.
Not sure where else you can get great vibes AND massive $1 pizza slices AND $4.5 schooners from 4-6 PM. Probably the best happy hour in all of Australia. Get around it
Fantastic underground bar. Good vibes, music, entertainment and pizza!
I believe 4-6pm everyday is pizza happy hour, $1 (selected pizza) slices mmmmmmm
What an Iconic establishment, Atmosphere is fantastic, live music so good to see, a little loud, love the pin ball machines, and Pizza was great too. Will be back soon.
While the pizza was mediocre (rather enjoyable if drunk) and the alcohol selection was diverse, I was dissatisfied with the venue in a larger sense. The unsavoury video on the website is a stark example of western decadence; the reign of quantity and sign of the times. It was cringe and disgusting and I would sooner die than give my business to a business who not only produces such content, but thinks it’s funny.
They serve great pizza also very close to rock area and they have a great collection of beers. My favorite bar in Sydney! If you love rock music from the 70s-90s, pinball machines, woodfire pizza and a good time then this is where you should be spending your Saturday night! Definitely be going back here with friends i really enjoyed coming here in my rest days!
