Four Winds Vineyard reviews
51A beautiful setting with comfortable indoor and outdoor options. Staff are friendly and welcoming and there was good live background music on a Sunday afternoon. Pizzas nice and good selection of wines (and a couple of sneaky beers from Bentspoke).
Great spot, good value tasting flights (samples) and yummy pizza. Note that they are card-only - we didn't realise this until arrival
Four Winds is an appropriate name for this winery, particularly on a cold, wet, windy day.
Our group was celebrating a 50th birthday, and as we had more than six people, were seated outside.
An open pergola with no wind protection, only blankets to keep warm, definitely didn't add to the birthday celebrations. We just wanted to eat our pizza's and exit to the warmth of the bus.
It's interesting to note that other people have been in the same predicament with weather, and yet nothing had been done to improve the outdoor dining situation in the cooler month.
It was freezing and windy enough for a glass of wine to be blown over, yet no blinds or heaters for protection.
The pizza's were yummy, but we had to eat them quickly before the wind cooled them down.
Such a disappointment - I definitely wouldn't visit here again in the cooler weather if made to sit outside.
Thank you, Bohdana, for the warm welcome and Ukrainian music!
Thank you! Very nice place!
Great winery - great customer service. Perfect stop off on way back to Melbourne. Lovely balanced wines and tasty pizza.
One star because of the outdoor area for groups meant we sat in 7 degrees cold/rain with only blankets, no shelter at all or heaters. How they think this is okay I don’t know.we quickly ate and then left. Pizza was average. Wouldn’t recommend for winter and sitting outside for a group larger than 6 sitting outside
We had to sit in the freezing cold, because we were a group of 10 which was an organised Wine tour. Knowing this and seeing the weather you'd think it would be better organised.
No shelter, no heaters.
Would not recommend.
10 out of 10, me and my partner had such a good experienced with wine and fresh made pizza here.
Love it ️
Great wine tastings, bottle options and wood fired pizzas. Wonderful for a group of friends, a date or with the family. Friendly staff and great atmosphere
Had a great pizza for lunch an a glass of sparkling
Chardonnay and all excellent as well as the staff highly recommend this place
Elenrose all all e all exxlec
Just a really nice place for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food is lovely and the wines are great. Look forward to returning.
We live very close to Four Winds and its one of our favourite wineries in the Murrumbateman area. The wines at FW are all of a very high quality, like so virtually all of the wineries in the this are. FW stands apart because of ease of location, accessibility, inside and outside seating, excellent parking, wood fired pizza oven, beautiful views and customer service of the highest standard. Highly recommended
Small selection of wines. The tasting offers four pours.
Pretty much a self service process - their friendly staff serve up your four wines of choice and then never return. Not even a goodbye/howdyu-go? As you leave. No discussion of the wines involved and no opportunity to learn anything really. More of a cafe and not resemblant of any cellar door experience Ive ever had. Nb was not busy - this seems to be their way?
We stopped by today for lunch. Great little spot with some good wines. Limited menu but the pizzas and cheese boards (which you can create yourself from a selection onsite) compliment the wines on offer well. Recommend the red flight - delicious, decent pours showcasing their reds & very reasonably priced.
Pizza was good except the chicken was a bit dry. Bar dominated by males, females on floor work. Males at bar varied in manner from arrogant to accommodating. Very limited selection of wines, according to onsite production- fair enough, but more varied knowledge of wine at bar would be helpful for communicating preferences and matching.
Great place for a lazy lunch. Pick a beautiful day, grab a bottle of wine and a couple of pizzas and sit outside and watch the afternoon go by.
Such a cool place, beautiful covered terrace right in the middle of the vineyard, live music and excellent atmosphere. You can have a wine tasting and have lunch at the same time! In house made pizzas and meats and cheese from deli up for grabs.
As a big fan of reds, I enjoyed the mataro wine a lot!
This place is great! Great atmosphere, yummy wines and a great meat and cheese board. Let themselves down with their pizzas being very undercooked and lacking some ooomph.
Great pizzas, great wines, good music. It was bitterly cold after a sudden weather change, but they even had blankets to wrap ourselves in.
Very poor experience visiting this winery. We were made to feel unwelcome from the moment we walked in despite purchasing over $100 worth of wine. The winery is geared to bus tours and large groups with very little info on the wines. The wines are actually pretty good it's just a shame about the staff and vibe. With so many other great wineries in the area you don't need to visit this one.
