Not a farm stay, don't expect to feed the chickens or pick grapes.
Walking distance to rock Poole and parched crow.

These villas have the potential to be a 5-star stay. The interiors are quite remarkable in comparison to previous photos, having been renovated beautifully. However, we stayed during a period of construction which was not disclosed prior to arrival and impacted on our ability to enjoy our visit. The tradespeople were working upon arrival through to 6: 00pm at night, leaving our rear patio unusable. The furniture was haphazardly spread across the backyard amongst the rubbish. The bathroom tap was also in need of repair, surely something that should’ve been checked prior. I would have settled on a 3-star review, but given our communication addressing concerns went unanswered, it’s a disappointing 2 for us.

Went to cellardoor Parched Crow Wines.
Very good wines. Great staff. Atmosphere warm with country feel, animals and lots of empty space to enjoy.

Accomodation perfect for our needs, unit was immaculate. Had small problem with heater, which Lisa fixed immediately. The views were wonderful, mattresses very good. Ideal in every way.

Lovely place to stay, nice rooms and amazing views. Make sure you pet Frankie at the reception, the cutest dog!

Weekend away with no kids this was perfect, peaceful and quiet yet still central to everything with plenty if vineyards around, excited to come back when they have their cellar door complete. Great hosts Lisa and Ross so nice to meet you both and have a chat! We will definitely be back.

This was a good place to stay, location is good, close to wineries and Hunter Gardens, we were there on the wettest weekend ever, so couldn't make use of the outdoor area that the cabin has with a bbq, if it had wi-fi that would be good, but place is clean and comfortable, photo of our cabin from back and a photo of some kangaroos in paddock we could see from mini courtyard.

Owners are very friendly and welcoming, and the location is perfect! In the middle of the vineyards, surrounding by horses and kangaroos, you can catch beautiful sunrises. The place is very quiet, we highly recommend it!

Great easy place to stay. In a perfect location with heaps of wineries nearby! Great views. In the morning we could see the hot air balloons and the kangaroos. Just lovely.

Myself and a group of friends (three couples in our late 20s) went down to Forrest Hills Ridge for a long weekend the cabins are really comfortable and warm the beds are so soft! They have everything you will need for having a good bbq in the evenings!

But mostly we couldn’t believe how welcome we were made feel by the owners Ross and Lisa, they welcomed us with open arms even throwing a little bomb fire for us on Sunday night, And brought us down some of their amazing wines to taste, all three couples left with at least a box of ‘The Parched Crow’ Shiraz!
We really enjoyed their company and the company of Lisa’s parents who also joined for the fire.
Ross even brought us to see a calfling heifer in his field, as I was really interested in his farming! We had some great chats and it was so easy and comfortable with them.
Absolutely amazing hosts!

A little shout out to Lucky Daves tours who brought us out on Saturday for a wine tasting tour and our guide Gary who is a lovely guy!

All in all we had the best weekend thanks to Ross and Lisa and we cannot wait to come back!

Fantastic self contained accommodation, everything you need for cooking and even a bbq to use whilst sitting back on your veranda and enjoying a wine looking over the vineyard. Perfect location for access to an array of wineries for a good price.

Lovely, quiet, cozy accommodation right in the heart of the Hunter Valley. Nothing fancy - a small kitchenette with the basic necessities, shower with nice hot water, comfortable beds.
The host is friendly and helpful, and very respectful of privacy. We only saw her at check in and check out. Nice view from the back patio.

For the price and position in the hunter valley you cant go wrong. Beds are comfortable and living space is generous. Lisa was very accommodating and had the right answers to all my questions. We will definitely be stay here everytime we come to the hunter.

The location was amazing, right in the middle of many cellar doors overlooking vinyards and a lake. The people who own it are also super friendly and helpful.

Absolutely amazing stay at the Forest Hills Ridge. Lisa who checked us in was a fountain of information recommending places to eat and cellar doors nearby. Her husband went out of his way to drop us off at our dinner reservation on our first night which was such a massive help. The rooms were spacious and clean with everything you could need in a kitchenette. Lastly there was a beautiful uninterrupted view over the Vinyard, lake and farmlands. Couldn't be happier with this place. - Heidi
