Forgandenny Bed & Breakfast reviews
10Three course breakfasts! Amazing. And very accommodating of our vegetarianism. Robbie is so lovely and we had delicious handmade jams, marmalades and lemon curds with every scrumptious breakfast. The rooms are extremely comfy and the garden is incredibly beautiful. Easy walk to town attractions and right across the road from the park and river.
Robin and Errol were wonderful and gracious hosts, the place was gorgeous, great location and delicious food. A good night sleep awaits and you won’t go hungry!
Try as I might, I could find NO fault at this amazing and welcoming bed & breakfast. Yes, I can report a major issue! I arrived for our two day stay weighing 71kg, leaving at 74kg. What happened? The hospitality extended to mammoth sumptuous breakfasts and between meal snacks (including midnight port or sherry offerings!) of cakes and biscuits. Both the owners of this immaculately presented refuge, Robbie and Errol were engaging and considerate, set to ensure our brief stay left us wanting for more. We stayed in the “Queen suite” which made us feel like royalty. Mudgee is best explored on foot, that is if you didn’t arrive by car. We lobbed into the bus terminal and this thoughtful couple picked us up, and even insisted on the return two days later. Our midweek stay reminded us the calibre of country hospitality is alive and thriving.
I do love the "Antique French decor" with vintage style. So that’s the reason I chose this Forgandenny Bed & Breakfast. The owner of Robbie & Errol with the warm, friendly hospitality and their beautiful property, more highly! Me, hubby and our friends-the other couple had awonderfully stay. The amazing 2 course breakfasts in the beautiful sunny communal lounge and dining room complete with warm fire, sweet treats, port, tea and coffee. Also afternoon tea are available and we feels so spoiled. The place are the close proximity to Mudgee town.
Perfect location absolutely amazing accommodation beautiful hosts and fantastic food. Our second visit and won't be our last. I can't recommend them highly enough ️
A perfect place to call home whilst visiting Mudgee.thank you Robbie & Errol for opening your magnificent home to us and providing the very best of comfort, food and service and making our extended weekend so memorable. See you again soon!
Great choice for our long weekend stay in Mudgee. Beautiful old house with an interesting history tied to the current owners. Perfect location so close to the town centre meant we could easily discover the local haunts and also walk in the park. The hosts Robbie and Errol were charming, helpful and hospitable. Thoroughly enjoyed our breakfasts and our stay. Absolutely recommend it. And Mudgee was amazing too!
From the moment you arrive Errol & Robbie make you feel welcome. Beautiful history to this family home. Rooms are clean and charming. Breakfast is amazing, and the fire on our return from dinner was beautiful. Have already booked a return trip.
We had our second stay with Robbie and Errol. It was like coming home! Their hospitality and warmth is unsurpassed and their magnificent Forgandenny House is the most relaxing place you can imagine. Robbie's brekkys' are legendary, classy and totally YUM! The position of the House to Mudgee central is great, you can pretty much walk everywhere, including across the road to the beautiful park, river and bird-life. The Garden at Forgandenny is a masterpiece of style and beauty. Sit on the verandah in the morning for an early morning coffee/tea or in the afternoon with a sherry (complimentary!). We'll be back, in fact taking our kids + partners.
Right next to a quiet riverside park and just a short stroll from the centre of town, this is an amazing B&B. The rooms were comfortable, spacious and clean, the living areas cozy and well-stocked with biscuits, candy and Port, and the hosts were warm, welcoming and very knowledgeable. We had a wonderful time at Errol and Robbie's, and look forward to our next visit.
