Fitzroy Falls Lookout reviews
69A spontaneous stop along our route. Really enjoyed the birds we saw and those beautiful old trees.
The cafe has a closed sign on it but staff were cleaning the toilets. I arrived & did a couple of walks at 7 a.as I was on my way to take water tank photos & was the only 1 in the carpark. Beautiful time for walks & views tho. The falls were only running at a trickle but beautiful mountain & valley views
An extensive network of trails on east and west of teh escarpment.
Worth trying to stay for a weekend to take in all the view options and make the most of the national park.
Wow. Just wow. Falls are amazing but the view through the valley/mountain caught me by surprise with its beauty.
Beautiful falls and breathtaking scenery, if you haven't been there, it's highly recommended. You can spend half day hiking and checking beautiful nature and waterfalls.
The best ever falls I have ever seen. See drops of water falling down to the rainbow and scenic view on the side.
Easy to access.
Closed for burn off, 11.03.23 also very little water flow. Lovely area for a walk though.
Great view from top of the waterfall. But would recommend a bit of hiking around 15 to 20 minutes walk to observe a better view.
The amazing view is literally breathtaking. Less than three minutes walk from the visitors centre, it just pops out of nowhere. The ground drops away beneath you and the horizon just opens up. Look, words fail me, ok? Just go there and see for yourself!
It’s a amazing water fall. If you fear of height, that would be a unforgetable travel experience
$4 for parking. Toilets and picnic tables. Short walk to first lookout, a number of other well sign posted walks also available.
Go to the left track first for stomach dropping views out. The right track for waterfall views.
A quick and easy trek to the first waterfall (Fitzroy Falls) with a break taking view of the valley. Absolutely beautiful display of mother nature.
I wish the weather had been better to enjoy the whole walking track. We walked about 1km to Twin Falls before turning around due to the rain.
Will definitely be back to experience the full walk.
It's a short walk from the parking lot, like 3 min. You do have to pay around 4$ for a parking motorbike, cars and Abit expensive for buses.
It doesn't provide such a great view of waterfalls when the water level is very low.
But there is another lookout about 800 m further from this lookout which provides a more upfront view of the waterfalls.
It was my first time to visit
I liked it
Very nice to explore beautiful areas like this
The magnificent and easily accessible Fitzroy Falls can be found in the Morton National Park, in the Southern Highlands of NSW, an approximately two hour drive from Sydney. These 80-metre waterfalls are formed where Yarrunga Creek pours over the sandstone escarpment.
The Falls are worth seeing not only because they are spectacular, but also they are a fantastic destination for families that like to discover local natural wonders without the hassle of having to walk too much.
Fantastic waterfalls. We enjoyed a lot, easy parking less cost best spot for daytrips. Walkable lookout from the parking.
I absolutely loved Fitzroy Falls. They also have fantastic amenities including a restroom, a wonderful gift store, food, coffee, easy parking, and a great walk with a platform to observe platypuses and a breathtaking view. You could easily spend the whole day. Fantastic views and easy walking trails suitable for the whole family. The main entrance is close to and easily accessible from the main overlook.one of the area's top waterfalls.
Amazing view! You can get to the main platform within 5 minutes walk from the car park.
Absolutely recommended
