9A wooden post under my porch was rotten and needed replacement. I called several carpenters to get a quote. Phil got back to me promptly. He arrived to examine the problem and communicated clearly what needed to be done while providing me with a reasonable quote. In the end, he did a great job replacing the post and I am very happy. 5 stars for communication, punctuality and quality of work.
If you are looking for a carpenter, just go for Phill. He is just a gem of a person. Rare find these days when everybody is out to rip you off.

He turned up on time, communicated through the whole process and his quote was well below what I thought it would be. He's is very particular and I was so pleased with the result that I'm getting him back to do some work in my kitchen later this month.

Disappointing and frustrating. I had booked Phil in a week in advance to lay some flooring and the day before he was meant to come he didn't answer my calls all day and then eventually he informed me a later booking from a 'regular' client had taken my booking. He had no answers for me when I asked him why he didn't let me know earlier.
