Beautiful venue, great atmosphere. Staff were lovely and very helpful. My new favourite venue in Sydney!

I attended standup comedy show at Factory Theatre.

The stage was well-lit, and the sound system was top-notch, ensuring that we didn't miss a single joke.

I just had the worst experience I’ve ever had at a venue seeing Lucha Fantástica at the Factory. My partner and I went with my daughter and her boyfriend who are going overseas in two days, we’re minding our own business watching the show when security comes up, asks to see my daughter and her boyfriend’s entry stamps. They show him, but by this time the stamps have worn out so they offer to show him their tickets. He refuses, says they have to go outside with him. We go with them, once outside we show the bouncer our tickets, but this still doesn’t settle it for some reason and he won’t tell us what the issue is so I ask to see the manager. Presently an angry man exuding toxic masculine aggression called Patrick turns up, establishes we have tickets, goes aside with the bouncer and confers, then comes back and accuses my daughter and her boyfriend of doing drugs in the disabled toilet. They deny it, he tells them he has security camera proof, so my daughter says great, let’s look at it. He says it’s not worth his time to go and look at it. He then starts accusing them of going into another show they didn’t have tickets for, which they didn’t. At this point it’s gone from absurdity to absurdity, he throwing out random accusations. One minute he says my partner and I can go back in, but not the other two, when I get annoyed about this and refuse to go back in without them he gets angry, says I can’t go back in but they can. Even through he still maintains they were doing drugs and he can prove it, and he threatens to fine them $550 for going in the disabled toilet, even though they never went near it, but still refuses to show us the security footage. In the end the night’s been ruined anyway and none of us want to go back in even if he were to let us, so we leave, $66 bucks a head down and a couple of hundred on drinks. I’m a Marrickville local, The Factory has been one of my favourite venues for comedy, gigs and SUFF for years, but it’s been thoroughly tarnished by this experience, and this delusional, aggressive, fragile manager, Patrick (if indeed that’s his name). I must say, though, the bouncer, despite being on an erroneous mission from the beginning, was courteous and professional at all times.

This is a great venue for live music. Saw Ian Moss here last night. The Factory has more of an intimate vibe between the band/singer and the audience when compared to Enmore Theatre down the road. There's an open bar both in the venue and an open air lounge outside with space to chill with your mates, have a drink and get excited for a great night.

Great little theatre. Staff are friendly. Great drinking areas with heaters outside. Really good chicken near the entry. Jerk chicken and cornbread

Great venue to see live bands. My only complaint is the lack of seating. There's nowhere to sit if you're older, disabled or just exhausted. There used to be lounges up the back but they're no longer there unfortunately.

I love the factory theatre. It's easy to get to, has great free parking close by and comes alive come comedy festival. A variety of different rooms to house all sorts of comedians as well as friendly front of house staff.

Well organised. Followed rules re Covid. If you are going though.take an uber BC parking is very difficult. I found drinks over priced as well. But.otherwise great venue! Funny guy Ivan

Love this place. It has an awesome open area where you can lounge and wait for your show to start. It has alternative vibes without trying to hard. Just be ready for planes to join the party.

Great venue for intimate gigs. With three indoor spaces and a generous outdor area for drinks or smoking. When shows are on there is often a food truck serving up fried goodies to take the edge off. The aesthetic is rough industrial.

I’ve been to the Sydney Comedy Festival 2021 and the whole place had a great atmosphere. Very fitting for the event.

Great venue to watch live music and other acts. Get there by public transport/ride share as street parking is limited. The bar is OK, not cheap. Food choices are very limited.

Terrible, forced to wear a mask and queue up for ages and be dictated to by a authoritarian voice over the loudspeaker. I didn't even make it into the performance room, too much like an Orwellian nightmare for me.

Great venue for live music. I went there on Saturday night and saw some really awesome black/death metal bands play at an affordable price. I wish they had a bigger selection of drinks but I was still able to order a Jim beam and glass of champagne.

Venue was OK, sound system so-so. It sucked big time that people smoked indoors in the non-smoking theatre and nobody bothered to enforce the no smoking.

Reasonable concert venue. Street parking at night on creepy factory back-alleys and the floor of the concert venue was sticky from all the trodden-in chewing gum. Also have to walk through a cloud of cigarette smoke to get to the concert hall (which was up some stairs, disabled people take note).

The venue has excellent atmosphere. The fast food was as good as any fast food. Food, drinks and show were a bit expensive but I'm old school (72). I don't get out much. I'll go again if my partner lets me. (I think I was a bit gorcky.) One of the security blokes took me under his wing and lent me his umbrella. He was a real gentleman.
Yeah! I'll go again.

Funky and industrial venue for small to medium events. Nice yard and deco around. Some stairs to climb though.

One of the most fun nights you can have out in Sydney is to hang with a bunch of good people at the Factory for a gig or a comedy show. I love the run down, festival feel!

All performing arts venues are good. This one could use a better space for hanging around before the show, but to be fair, there are places close where you can do that if you're not anxious. 4.5 really
