Fabbrica Pasta Shop reviews
25 Good service. Below average food. Okay atmosphere.
Went on two occasions as a party of two.
Food - pasta well cooked but lacked seasoning. Very small portions. Very little garnish except cheese.
Service - people were excellent and friendly. Redeemed this restaurant.
Atmosphere - nice friendly decor. Uncomfortable stools with no back. Indoor seating has only bench.
Price is reasonable - $30ish for pasta
If not for good service, this review would have been 1 star.
My friend and I had a great time at Fabbrica last night! The food was delicious and the service exceptional! Especially Gabriel looked after us amazingly! Thank you for a beautiful experience, we will be back:).
Love the pasta! Quality is good and very delicious.
The pork in the second photo was really tender!
Too much balsamic vinegar smell inside.and it’s just hard to sit against the shelving.the pasta is super oily and they should of told me the burrata does not come with bread.
Delicious authentic Italian pasta -Spaghetti, cacio e Pepe was suberb - better than in Roma. Zucchini flowers - yum and dessert tiramisu was excellent. Great wine list and great atmosphere.
Walked in asked for a table for 3 and got a table for 2. Failed to understand me - not sure if they didn’t understand or if they didn’t want to listen.
Ordered dishes which came one at a time every 25 minutes. Other tables were given new cutlery with every dish, ours were not changed once.
Asked politely to check the status of our dishes - cut me off in annoyance and told us they would check, only to proceed to converse with another table that hadn’t asked for them.
Tried to order dessert - hazelnut tiramisu - staff took 3 tries to understand, each followed by a rude sound to communicate to us that they couldn’t understand me.
Not sure if it was because we were all asian or if they are like that to all their customers, however, they took their time to make conversation with an Australian couple next to us who ended up having a ‘passionate’ dinner experience right next to us, including in front of the staff.
This isn’t the first time I’ve come to Australia - in fact, I’ve lived here for the last 20 years and have completed all levels of education here. I understand that you also get many tourists. If you want to keep it that way I suggest you guys get some new staff ^^.
Tiramisu was good …. Coffee was awful… I asked what kind of coffee it was …. She told me it was Nescafé…. I’ve had a better cup of coffee from a Nescafé can… $21 rollers for tiramisu and a black coffee (dishwater) …. Won’t be spending my after tax dollars there again
Good pasta, poor service. I was the only seated diner inside. Two more diners came in and orders taken before me. Had to get up and flag down a waiter to take my order. The food is always great but just be aware they may struggle to keep track of you if you dine in.
The fresh pasta is amazing (small portions though) but the ragu was very bland. Service was ok but the atmosphere isn’t too great as the restaurant is tiny and you have to sit on these uncomfortable stools… Hazelnut Tiramisu is a 10/10 tastes like eating an incredibly fresh sponge cake with cream and a tinge of hazelnut with an abundance of cocoa.
Loved every dish except the focaccia (tasted very stale, probably because it was not heated up). Every dish is made for sharing which is great. Definitely make a reservation if you are keen to try this place out, it’s small and doesn’t hold many tables.
On the plus side - pasta was nice. The downside, the service was hilariously awful. Waited at the front desk for ages while staff looked at us then away, no acknowledgment. The whole time it felt like the waiter was doing us a massive service.
Delicious, fresh food and Andrea was a brilliant waiter - I'll definitely be back! Sarah x
I’m a lunchtime regular and sometimes get their take home dinner packs, both are absolutely great. We got them to cater a recent office day lunch and they didn’t disappoint, probably the best bread in Sydney,
Casual, semi alfresco dining with some really delicious pasta. Prices were reasonable but serving sizes fairly small. The restaurant itself is also pretty small so the seats get filled up pretty quickly. If you sit inside on the counter it can be awkward if they reach over you to take out ingredients etc. I would avoid sitting there.
Really good food BUT we were a party of three and chose the menu that was 60$pp. We got the same amount of food as tables of two got. Felt pretty ripped off.
Pretty good every time. The cold cuts and focaccia are on point. Wish they would stick to Italian food, they tried banh mi one time it was kinda weird with raw bok choy
One of Sydney’s hidden gems! A perfect location for a night out in the CBD I would recommend the Squid and Corn Pasta! Very friendly staff
Very overrated. But perhaps the dishes were just not to my taste. The pesto was way Too plain.
Great fresh pasta and food. Tiramisu to die for and the focaccia bread just melted in your mouth you could eat so much of it, service was great and helpful. Definitely would go back and would recommend to anyone who wants fresh Italian food
We didn't reserve a seat but they squeeze us in, which we really appreciate. We tried the mafaldine (the curly pasta) in tomato and basil sauce. We love the texture of the mafaldine. We also tried the ragu pasta, I forgot what the name was. It was really good, that's our favorite. Overall, the food are really nice. But it's just that their pasta is a bit overcooked, it should be al dente.
