Evening Star Hotel

Stumbled upon this bar during the heatwave yesterday for somewhere to cool off with a drink and grab a late lunch.
The ladies behind the bar were incredibly friendly and the burger & fries tasted delicious!
The venue was quiet but comfortable. I’ll be sure to visit again!

Went last Friday for the latin party, but drinks are priced like the ivy club (like $13 for a house spirit) the sound system is not better than the soundbar I have at home and the colour lights are from ebay. Yeh nah, pass.

The 30 minutes late is Ubers Fault but the wrong sauce that I am allergic to is the pubs fault. Dinner goes in the bin

Smoking at outside tables caused us to move inside. Pretty loud. Attentive staff. Food was over priced considering the small portion (of calimari)

Amazing customer service but the air conditioning in that place is really bad there’s no air on Saturday evenings and it’s actually really bad and people can pass out in this heat! They need to use the air ons when there is an event on. I almost don’t want to go because the heat is unbearable in there but we love the venue on Saturdays.

One of the night managers there is da bomb. Such a gentleman and very accommodating. Feel that the pub can be a bit rasist tho as I've had Aboriginal friends of mine turned away by security for no reason. No drinks prior to going down there. One had never been there before but still they are turned away and I am waved through.bogus!

Just don't discipline your staff in front of patrons. Everyone has to learn somehow and it's not cool being a bully

The Atlantic salmon on honey pumpkin risotto & Cajun butter is superb in every respect. You'd struggle to get such a high quality meal at a restaurant for only $24. Highly recommended.

Good food, good price. Had steak on Monday, it’s only $15 including beer. You can ask orange juice or coke instead of alcohol. They have different menu $15 every day. Have been here many time and definitely will come back again. Recommended

I had a great dinner with my brother for my 50th. Free pool aswell. The staff were happy, friendly & serving with a smile.

Met my husband here 15 years ago tomorrow. 3 kids, a dog, a bird and just built our first house. Thanks for existing and changing my life

Clean and quiet pub for a good feed as kitchen closes at 9pm. Staff are also very friendly and accomodating. Their specials are also very well priced

Food was horrible, ordered a medium rare sirloin because it was all they had. The jerky like steak came well done with the thinnest and dryest steak sandwich sized steak I have ever had.

Food was yummy (steak with salad and chips) and they were still serving at 4pm. The drawbacks are that the entrance door is very narrow and all the tables are very high with stools. No good for a wheelchairs but I could get in there (door is wider than 600mm. Service was very good.

Great spot to chill out for a quiet after work drink and/or feed.
Staff are great and friendly.

Think I first met Smiffy in ere over 15 years ago. And still great service today throughout a leisurely afternoon!

Nice little bar, however disgracefully disrespectful staff ruined the experience on Saturday night. Their lack of respect was highlighted by their complete lack of understanding of public decently and morality. Shame on you all!

Good place for a beer and pub grub. Food is good quality and reasonably priced. Not a huge selection of beers on tap but they are always cold and served with a smile.

Relaxed pub. Enjoyed good drinks prices at happy hour. Food was simple pub food at good prices. Friendly and efficient staff and clean kitchen.

Good place for an evening / after work drink
