Evans Lookout reviews
40Best walk we have ever done, so many different aspects to it. Cliff tops, rainforest, creeks and waterfalls. Amazing!
Sure the Three Sisters is a must, but for a far less touristy experience of the majesty of the Blue Mountains drive for a few minutes past Katoomba and find this little gem. Some great walking tracks too.
Highly recommend this spot. To me it's the way to finish the world renowned Grand Canyon Walk. Do the Walk anti-clockwise. Park in the middle car park and walk back along a designated track to the first carpark and start from there. Absolutely magnificent
Spectacular views and a great hike through Grand Canyon track. Hundreds of steps. Only suitable for the moderately fit.
Much better than the three sisters lookout Point in my opinion, mainly because it's a lot less people. Not to mention it's also the starting point of grand canyon loop track which is an amazing trail that can give you moderate exercise and bring you down to the valley to breath some super fresh breezy air.
Nice lookout. If you walk from the other way of the grand canyon track you'd end up at this lookout. The last phase of the walk towards the lookout has a little steep inclination.
Absolutely beautiful, the Grand Canyon hike is excellent as well though be prepared for 2-4 hours depending on fitness and lots of steps
After the steep climb out of the Grand Canyon, this is the perfect view to be rewarded with. It is also accessible by car park, but I’ll need to pretend it was the culmination of our hike to make myself feel more accomplished. In all seriousness, I’m going to be controversial and say it’s an even better viewpoint than the Three Sisters. Don’t miss it.
Incredible views! Started and finished the Grand Canyon walking trail from this lookout. Highly recommended if you're up for a moderate/hard walk. The lookout itself is accessible via the car park.
Good hike, 2 hour travel time on foot, or 15min if you take the shortcut, very good scenes and not that busy along the track, highly recommend for beginner to intermediate hikers
It's the best lookout at Blackheath, Blue Mountains. Next time, we will start here for Grand Canyon Track Walk
Small lookout but excellent view. One shed available when it rains. Parking available close to lookout spot. Start and finish of various trekking circuit. No bbq service available.
The Blue mountains have a great amount of attraction Evans Lookout & Govettes Leap near by. Blackheath a Town of surprises.
If you're fit and well, must do the walking track all the way down and up again at the other carpark end. About 3-4 walk, the sceneries aling the way are absolutely breathtaking.
Great spot with an interesting lookout, another 10 min drive from Katoomba, easy to get to even on a rainy day. There are walks from the look out which makes it a more worth while trip
My Experiences at Evans Lookout are
*Lovely Spot
*but it’s overrun by tourists everyone gets in your face.
Pretty park. Sadly ocean views obscured by hundreds of brown banksia trees. A better choice of tree would allow visitors to enjoy what one was a spectacular view in a seaside setting.
Evans lookout, amazing views. Was an easy drive but there are heaps of potholes in the road. The lookout is only a few minutes walk to the lookout. Very easy walk to look out. Kid friendly.
This lookout presents the most amazing views across the Blue Mountains. Just breathtaking. There is plenty of parking and from there a short walk to the lookout. At the lookout there is a small stone building with picnic benches & tables, though they are not the cleanest. A number of walking tracks start from here too. There is bush amenities available here as well. The only downside to this site is the road leading to it. It's a sealed road, but it's full of pot holes. Still I highly recommend a visit to this lookout.
