Estabar reviews
59A charming spot for coffee lovers. With a warm ambience, great coffee and friendly staff. It's a must-visit.
Wow Newcastle just keeps on giving. After having an amazing dinner and exploring the night before we were after a simply yet tasty breakfast and Estabar didn’t disappoint, with easy to read menus, great location we sat outside. Coffee arrived quickly and went down a treat, the staff were friendly and accommodating.
Breakfast filled us, simple yet tasty. Thanks
2023 update, still service great food and coffee.
The friendliest staff I have experienced at a cafe in a long time! Will certainly be going back there when I’m in Newcastle next.
We recently ate here and while the food was delicious and the view onto the beach gorgeous, the male waiter that served us was a total creep and solely for this reason I will never return. From my experience here, this is unexpectedly not a safe place for a female diner.
In house juice and bruschetta were both delicious. Service excellent. Return visits are inevitable.
I have been visiting this place for years and all my friends and visitors are impressed. It never disappoints. Bravo!
Dare I say the best flat white in Newcastle? Estabar is right across the beach so it’s the perfect spot to people watch, enjoy your coffee, and enjoy the outdoor space. Breakfast was also really good, especially the banana bread and the toast with salmon.
Great cafe wirh friendly staff and a good array of coffee and healthy dishes that you would like to start your day with. Love that they butter up your sour dough. The relish is amazing. It’s fairly busy but the water view makes this place worth the visit
Esplanade vibes, amazing coffee, great fresh food made with local ingredients, polite friendly staff, and feels very much like a "safe space".
Cozy cafe with very welcoming and hardworking staff.
Great view to the water!
The breakfast we ordered was so tasty!
We will check it out whenever we go to NewCastle!
Fabulous location; wonderful friendly service.a splendid view of the ocean and the passing coal container ships.terrific coffee - a long black served with a spritzer (wonderful!), and a strong cappuccino. You actually get service here! No having to hop the counter. I had a really great bruschetta with salmon, labna, red onion, rocket and capers. Really delicious and fresh. And filling! Hubby had a ham and cheese toastie with halloumi on the side. He really enjoyed it; said the bread was great (as was my toasted sourdough). Dogs are welcome outside. The interior is cute and cosy. We loved this place!
This Cafe is in an excellent location, opposite the beautiful beach. The one thing that left an impression was the wonderful service from all the staff here. They were friendly, down to earth and professional. The food was great and the coffee was amazingly good. Great cafe and well worth the visit.
Dine in table service, quiet busy, uncomfortable wood small high chairs.
Bubbles on the coffee means fresh grided coffee.
Yes, Estabar offers takeout.

Small space, but corner postponed next to the beach with views on the beach. Bit NOISE NOT FOR quiet time PEOPLE.

Easily the best coffee I have ever had. Recommend going here bright and early to get some amazing customer service and the best coffee in Newcastle. Stoked to be right at my doorstep.
We visited as a group on a busy day and left very happy. Two little ladies were very happy with their ice creams and we also enjoyed their Banana Bread, scrambled egg with feta and veggie toastie. We will definitely be back! Great coffee too!
Amazing service, so accommodating and tried the new eggplant dish on their menu which was perfect for our light lunch! Will be back.
Amazing views and even more amazing staff! Such lovely people and yummy yummy food ️
Also gave us great recommendations of things to do around the area! Thankyou so much for a great morning:)
Do yourself a favour, and visit this place. Have been to Newcastle twice, and both times we had Sunday brunch here. It's small, with somewhat uncomfortable chairs, and it's barely visible from the street except for the amount of people always eating there.
First time we ate inside because it was raining, second time we sat outside. Both times I ordered same plate, the poached eggs with ham and side of halloumi, with a chai latte. Oh. My. Gosh. DE-LI-CIOUS! Honestly, can't rave more about their food, no joke. I am salivating now just thinking about it! They add some sort of cream cheese equivalent, and it all just goes together SO WELL! I mean, even their TOAST is mouth watering, crunchy edges, soft and spongy centre, with butter on it.
Seriously, trust me - do yourself a favour, and visit this place. You won't regret it. 5 stars, for sure!
Everytime I visit Newcastle coming to estabar is an absolute must! Everything is perfect from your hospitable staff, amazing food/coffee & unbelievable location. Absolute winner
For the life of me, cannot work out why Estabar and other Newcastle eateries food is so expensive. More expensive than cafe's in Double Bay and Vaucluse. Please don't tell me your produce, staff or rent costs more. Coffee here good, menu limited. Typical provincial abruptness from the staff.
A large coffee at Bake Bar in the heart of Double Bay, Sydney's most exclusive suburb costs $4.70. Estabar charge $5.50.
You're getting ripped off Newcastle locals.
