Erskineville Oval reviews
15Passing Erskineville Oval sometime when I do shopping at Bunnings Warehouse, the oval is clean only busy when I there a game schedule
This is a nice oval with plenty of places to sit, including a small grandstand. It will be nice to attend a sporting event there when the covid restrictions are lifted. There are also a couple of outstanding pubs very nearby, so there will be plenty of opportunities soon to grab a couple of tinnies nearby and head to the oval.
If you love rugby and the rabbitoh's this is one of the ovals you will catch them on, (under 20's) watch the up and coming talent! If your lucky you will catch Wayne bennet there some days!
Well maintained and good for exercise. Has rugby posts if you want to practice your kicking skills.
Has a stand for sitting in out of the sun.
A Charming Suburban Oval on the outskirts of the city. Just the spot for a brisk morning walk on the weekend
Great spot, but please keep your dogs away it. There's a dog park literally next door, and signage saying dogs prohibited.
Erskineville Oval is at 149 Mitchell Road, Erskineville.
It is on part of grants to Nicholas Divine in 1794 and John Thomas Campbell in 1825 (sold to William Hutchinson in 1829). The land remained undeveloped due to protracted lawsuits until in 1885 22 acres bounded by Ashmore, Binning, Swanson and Copeland Streets and Mitchell Road was proclaimed as Macdonaldtown Park. The name was changed to Erskineville Park when the municipality name changed in 1892.
Nice decent sized grass Oval type area secure kids play area only thing is it needs a couple more bins and water bubblers
One of the greatest oval shaped ovals I've been on. The grass is well irrigated and fed. I kicked a couple of goals here right above the dot. I was pretty proud of that. I wrote about it in my diary.
From an overall perspective in the dark, decent but don't sit on the grass. Spiky things everywhere. They will f you in the a.
Green space amid steadily encroaching development which one day may not be desirable accommodation
It's a nice oval where one can play with kids, exercise, or just chill in the sun. Most people in the neighborhood treat it as a park. There's a sandpit in the Erskineville Oval, which is great for kids to explore.
Best grass in the city of Sydney. You can also walk your dog around the outside of the field on the pilgrimage to Erskineville.
The kids park is okay. Would say it's mostly for anyone over 5 as the equipment is a little more challenging. But it's got a basketball half court and plenty of space for picnic, group sport and dog walking
Old-school oval and grandstand. Great to sit on the hill and grab some sun with a coffee from Bitton across the road. Can occasionally watch the Rabbitohs train when they can't use Redfern Oval.
