Eric Mobbs Reserve reviews
26Great bushwalks for the family and dogs. Also have some good playing fields for soccer and footy and a fenced playground that's a little different than normal.
Love meeting other dog owners. And the Bush is so good. Thanks to the volunteers who are part of caring for the Bush. Noted that there are less cockatoos and kookaburra compared to 15 yrs ago. Too much development happening
Have been frequenting Eric Mobbs Reserve for the last 12 years now. Well kept grounds with at least 6 playing fields. Practice cricket pitch. Home of the Rockets soccer club. Concrete paths surround the grounds which are great for walking with your dogs or just for fitness. Several bush walks also surround the area. It also has an enclosed playground loved by the kids.
Soccer fields are average (yes, its been a wet year). Soft underfoot this week (12/8) despite little rain the week prior. Sandy on one side
Excellent place for bushwalking. We walked platypus route and it's relaxing and enjoyable.
It is a nice area to have a relax easy walk The platypus 3.5k loop is manageable, paths are easy to walk on, mostly flats and you get to pass by lots of nice streams where you can just stop and rest. More shaded area. Can bring dogs and kids will enjoy it
Great place to play sport or picnic, there is kids play area and bench. Nice bush walking tracks as well
It is a great place for families the kids have heaps of fun and get fresh air and fun activities
Beautiful 3 cricket ground.
Love Nature. Song of Cockatoo, kookaburra and so many birds. Live love.
An ocean of green nestled in the reserve it is a paradise for sport lovers, sounds of nature all around and Cricket! Its pure stuff!
Nice & quiet place.very lovely with built in seats & BBQ, too many parking spots, soccer & crickets fields. What actually surprised me are the toilets, they are clean for a toilet in a public park & always have soap, water & toilet papers. Great work for the Hills council
Three sports fields, play equipment in various spots around the park and bordered by walking paths and Bush walking tracks. There is also an electric BBQ here, although it was very dirty the day I was there. The public toilets were open, clean and had toilet paper and hand wash available.
A very good taking walks the path in which you can carry dogs. There is part of the path where we had to climb rocks, so probably not so accurate for little children or puppies that can not bounce some distance/excessive. It's cited that it is a bit of a drought, however, the appraisal is in evaluation to different close by facilities. Huge sports activities facility with cricket nets, 4 fields and bush trails. Good parking and reasonable services. Very large wearing grounds and the grass is usually pretty accurate as they try hard to look after it.
Eric Mobbs Reserve is located on Ferguson Avenue, Castle Hill and features four sports fields each with a synthetic cricket pitch located in the center. The cricket pitches are covered in the winter.
Good walking trail which you can bring dogs. There's a part of the trail where we had to climb rocks, so probably not so good for little kids or dogs that can't jump far/high. The time we went, they had baits out and couldn't bring our dog. There wasn't a notice of this online.
We played kids soccer here. If the fields in the hills district, this is one of the less favorable. Insufficient parking meant people park incorrectly throughout and in addition there hounds condition is poor. It's noted that it's a bit of a drought, however the appraisal is in comparison to other nearby facilities.
Awesome park. Great facilities and the place is well maintained, with great gardens and surrounds
Well-maintained sport facilities. Easy access to some beautiful walks in the woodland. I would recommend any day.
Whether you want the serenity of a quiet casual bushwalk or something a little more adventurous down the escarpment. The tracks are great for kids of all ages.
Large sports facility with cricket nets, 4 fields and bush trails. Good parking and reasonable amenities.
