Empirical Health - Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine

I have been using Emprircal Herbs in my clinic over the last few years and cannot speak highly enough of the quality of these herbs. I will only use Empirical herbs for complex cases such as autoimmune and fertility as the rest just dont seem to compare to the "real deal" They are always prompt with postage and accessible for any advice that i may need.

I have had excellent service from Empirical Health. I think Simon Feeney is a real expert in the profession and his striving to get only organic herbs for sale in Australia has been amazing.

We love dealing with Simon relying on his expertise in Chinese herbal medicine. Our patients- both human and animal- benefit greatly from his knowledge, and we have many tough cases that no one else can help. There are many renal failure cases that are no longer in renal failure, and old arthritic patients that are managed quite well with increased mobility and pain reduction. Simon is great at thinking laterally and knows how to formulate herbs that need a bigger picture and that are not available as standard formulae. I trust his Empirical herbs for all species as he sources organic and quality active ingredients.

I did my due diligence, and the different information available back then, at the time of purchase online (from their main website, under the "shop" tab) was that they are experienced practitioners and fastidious about the quality of their herbs. I ordered herbs and in the order form asked for information regarding how to prepare / use the herbs on the basis that they are experienced practitioners. They sent me the product and didn't respond. I chased up again, seeking advice and received a terse response that they do not advise on the use of herbs and are simply a supplier of herbs. I am completely confused by this as I thought they were qualified practitioners? I am also rather upset that they didn't think to contact me before processing my order if they felt that for some reason they weren't able to advise on the use of herbs. I frankly would have accepted an online appointment. As it turns out, I would have been better off seeing a local practitioner, regardless of whether the local practitioner had inferior herbs, as I will now have to give the herbs purchased from Empirical Health away, as I am not educated in how to use them safely (local TCM practitioners don't really allow you to "bring your own" in a consultation).

In terms of packaging - one of the packets had stuck to the tape sealing the delivery box, and so when using scissors to open the tape, the packet was ruined as it was stuck directly to the box. I doubt I will be able to give that one away. The other packet is fine, as is the plastic jar.

I am glad others have had a good experience and I hope this was just an anomaly.

I buy herbs off empirical health.i like how i can choose chemical free and organic herbs for most of the herbs that i use and they have everything i want.also simon is just a really easy going, nice guy to deal with.he comes across as totally reasonable and logical and seems like a "can do" man.given that "can't" and "no" aren't in a vocabulary that i wish to entertain, his attitude works perfectly for me.

Simon Feeney has been treating me with both Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine for close to twelve months now, and during that time I have lost over ten kilograms and ten centimetres from my waist, been able to stop taking most of my medications prescribed by my GP, and never felt better. Highly recommended, and that is coming from a person with a phobia of needles!
