Empire Park reviews
22Massive oval by the beach. Perfect for playing with kids and flying a kite in dependable stiff sea breeze!
Decent park with reasonable facilities including kids playground, tennis courts and tennis wall.
Beautiful park and little secret "hidden roads" leading to beautiful destination.
Amazing view. Beautiful part of the world (the photo does not do it justice). Highly recommend getting a takeaway coffee and finding a park bench.
Gem by the Sea. Friendly staff and management. Generous sized meals and very tasty. Affordable prices and relaxing lunch time vibe.
Great views, plenty of parking. Area surrounding was clean and full of happy people, good vibes
A wonderful place for a picnic! The few is lovely and there are public toilets very close by. Maybe not for you if you if you don’t like seagulls, but if you want to because the leader of a seagull gang, definitely the place to go! But if you don’t feed you they won’t bother you so don’t be afraid.
Located across the road from Bar beach this is a very wide open park with a large flat grass area with a skate bowl and bowling club located at the southern end. There are plenty of carparks around but if it is busy you may need to use one of the adjacent carparks that are connected via pedestrian crossings.
Really lovely open space right near the beach at Newcastle. Lots to do, including sport and skate.
Over looking the ocean and beaches of Newcastle, plenty of room to stretch out, swim, and relax, worth a visit or two.
Best for skaters with config confidence. Largest bowl in the Newcastle area that Inn aware of. You should also have patience a popular location.
Great park with many facilities used by many. The skate park caters to all levels. There is some really nice tabls and chairs which look over Bar Beach. Great park for a visit
Beaut spot overlooking the surf beaches with a wonderful walking path along the seafront; including memorial walk. There's also a cafe with chairs overlooking the sea.
Empire park is a park by the sea. Beside the usual rugby/cricket field there is a skateboard and a childs play area. Newcastle South bowlo is located on the southern edges of the park. Great place for a cold beer/food or a game of bowls. Bar Beach is right across the road from the park. Parking can be difficult especially of a Sunday.
I actually go here all the time, though it is really disappointing that Newcastle council haven't build more wall ball courts. It's alway at least a 30min wait, up and over an hour sometimes because so many people want to use the courts. Council really need to invest in this more.
Great I guess, except for the fact that the location device fails to recognize I park a hundred metre's further south, at the beach lookout Never been to Empire Park. Are there pretty white pointers there?
So much to do nearby. Adjacent to Bar beach. Anzac Walk nearby. SWELL eatery on beachfront where you can have great food while enjoying the view
Great site for afternoon get together. Have the beach on one side (swim at Cooks Hill Surf Club) and a skate bowl, and racquet ball court, and open space for cricket, as well as decent kids playground area. Add to this a Bowling Club next door and a Tennis Club opposite and you have ample entertainment options. Don't forget yoga and bootcamps early morning.
Urban green space is nice. Almost no shade (why Palm trees?), some picnic tables and the bike path.
