Booked here for my friend's birthday because I knew the food was good from my last visit however I was very disappointed. Servers were either trying to avoid you or rushing you to make your order. In the end we didn't get everything we ordered because they did not include it. Plates and bowls had some dust on them and the table wasn't properly set. A bit embarrassing to suggest to friends.

This used to be a fabulous restaurant - decided to take our kids for the yum cha experience and what a difference - this restaurant is the absolute pits. It’s dirty, mould growing out of the sinks in the bathroom, walls are smeared with who knows what, in the 2hrs we were there the yum cha cart came around twice with the same 4 dishes. We placed orders from the menu - after an hour of waiting, they still hadn’t brought them. Asked multiple times and met with shrugs and no answer. The staff acknowledged you were wanting their attention yet never came over to the table. Staff are extremely rude. We managed to get only 5 yum Cha plates for a family of 4 in the 2hr period. When paying, they tried to charge us for 10 dishes - make sure you get a receipt before paying! Never going there again. Huge disappointment and let down. Never again.

A very authentic eatery in the heart of Chinatown. The food is served dim sum style or you can order from the menu. Everything we tried tasted really good. Happy eating!

Clean. Service - good. Menu - excellent.
All good as long as you don't mind too much swearing amongst the diners, though.

Lunch here. Service was decent inside, fairly attentive and friendly.
The prices are definitely inflated for the portion size and quality, as sadly there isn't much to say about this one.
Spring rolls were delicious, however pork was slightly undercooked, the fat of which still a little crunchy. Despite being sold as bbq pork there was barely any sauce and the flavour was middling.
Duck similarly overpriced for the small portion sizing.
Rice unfortunately missed the mark here.

We were seated quickly and were looking forward to a good yum cha meal because of all the great reviews. Service was quick and the food was ok. The choices were very limited and only had two trolleys of food come out. We were handed menus so that was ok. The customer service was not worth a special mention at all. The lady taking orders was surly. She got annoyed when we wanted to order something and made us very uncomfortable. We waited for a long time to order desert and were being completely ignored. In the end we left without ordering desert. A dining experience is just as much about customer service as it is about the food. The mark was definitely missed. Won’t be returning.

Nice but over rated! The Chinese bakers are nicer. They have a great business plan and nothing more. They could have done better with their service but they chose for people to line up - that’s Ygritte business plan! To have people line up! Very clever

PUFFS PUFFS PUFFS! From my knowledge, its the only place that does these, and they are amazing, Its been churning and burning these puffs for so long, you'd think they would expand into new locations, but this is the original spot, and it still tastes amazing years later, had a blast from the past visiting the city and having these today! Thank you to the hard worker in the tiny room serving these fresh delicacies

I love the yum cha here but I called to make a booking for Sunday lunch because my mum is disabled and on crutches so unable to stand for long periods. They had zero consideration and wouldn’t budge on the no reservation rule. What a let down. If it were possible to stand in a queue and wait, we’d do it. Poorly handled by the staff and unfortunately has left a negative impression. Such a shame.

Good quality food with traditional service. Loved the chicken with red vinegar. Short staffed due to COVID but very nice and polite.

Long queue when we were there. Tried their salted egg dumpling which cost $11 each! Wasn't too impressed though.yet to try other desserts.

Worst attention ever, waited 30 minutes for my food. I noticed them that they obtain food from another restaurant and serve me everything cold.

Emperor's Puff. Always worth the wait for the warm, delicious cream puffs. Fun to watch the production too. An iconic Sydney treat.

Emperor Puffs: Very cheap and affordable. The lines sometimes look long during the afternoon, but it goes by very quick despite only have 1 person work the machine. Very tasty and one of the main reasons I go to the city.

A little bit expensive, service is not good. Maybe the convid-19 affect business. But I can see some old Chinese came to have taste food.

This place certainly has gone downhill compared to 10 years ago.
Over cooked pork buns, flavourless chicken feet. Disappointing considering it is more expensive than Rhodes Phoenix which is a whole lot better food.

Old school yum cha. Been coming here for years. Always popular amongst the local Asians. We had lots like 10 different things the bill came to $100 for two people.

The worst customer service ever, i came around 9pm tonight to buy some bread for breakfast. I haven't decided yet which one
From outside the windows, it was very dark. So, I couldn't decide it which one i want.
The lady who wear a glasses just mention the price $10. I said okay, I gave the money,

I might get the second one from inside the window while point to the cake that I want. She just rushed and take the outside one and said it's same. Ahhh, ok. I said.

Meanwhile she want to pack it up the cake and put it in the plastic bag, I just noticed it was different with the one, I choose before. I said. Sorry do you mind to change the chocolate one. The old lady was upset, and stared at me with the unhappy face, while talking back in their Cantonese language behind me so loudly.

She felt so annoying i was changed the cake. I was not happy either with the way she treat me, so I said sorry, I was cancelled to buy it. Do you mind to refund my money back.
The first lady with glasses said I put already the money in the machine, i could not open it. She asked me to come tomorrow to get my money. Unbelievable

The ways they treat the customer. So, I talking to other customers behind me, is anyone want to pay on cash, coz the cashier lady who wear glasses don't want to refund my money, I said. Finally one of the gentleman buy something with cash instead, and return my money back.
