42Loved neeting the Lady of the House. Her home baked carrot cake is so yummy and is for sale by a generous size slice.
Best bacon and egg roll and coffee I had on my whole trip from SA to QLD. Super friendly service too. Do yourself a favour and stop here.
We stopped here for lunch and ordered a hamburger. I was expecting a greasy sloppy typical mess of a thing you would expect from a roadhouse but this was fresh and delicious. Well done guys.
Value for money, friendly, fuel, only 4 powered sites, plenty of room for unpowered though, good food, licensed. All in all a pleasant stay.
Pumps all padlocked need to go in, get staff.supervised whilst filling up then escorted in to pay.first service station in Australia have had this experience.not friendly owner.didn't spend anymore than nessacery for this reason
Nice spot to stop overnight, great food and drinks. Great spot away from technology for a night.
Always a welcome place to stay, friendly staff great food, showers and accommodation when you need a rest.
On our way from Broken Hill to Dubbo, we originally planned to overnight here. We ended up only having lunch and coffee here. Although quaint and not the most updated, the value of the meals were great and the coffee was among the best. The couple running the place were genuine and more deserving of good customers. The place we ended up in Cobar was next to a truck stop and the noise kept us up ALL Night. In hindsight, we should have taken the hospitality of Emdale and enjoyed peaceful overnight camp.
Enjoyed my hot chocolate. The staff very friendly seeing 39 of us lobbed into the shop wanting a drink and some something to eat.
Always stop here on our way out Nd back from broken hill. The food is always good and the service has always been top notch. Toilets dated but useable.
I really like it, good food and very pleasant people. I wrote this two years ago and I still stop here every trip and it's still excellent. Do yourself a favour and stop here, camping available too.
I would have liked to have spent some time & some money here, but was so put-off by the unfriendly attitude of the staff member who rudely informed me the restrooms were out of order, and were only for use by customers, even before we'd decided if we were going to buy anything. We saw other people using their restrooms, so they clearly weren't out of order. And we were not offered access to the toilets even though we bought drinks. Would have spent more if we felt more welcomed. Big fail on Tourism service 101. If u want Tourists to stop & spend money, then provide services that they'll stop for. And do it with a smile rather than a grumpy attitude. I would not recommend anyone to stop at this very unfriendly roadhouse
An oasis approx 100 k's east of Wilcannia. Good grub, cold drinks, fuel and souvenirs available. Overnight accommodation for caravans.
I would suggest that Telstra put a Mobile Phone Tower close by, which would assist travellers and those staying in the caravan park.
There's also an airstrip over the road.
We limped into this place with car problems hoping to find oil.no luck. Very basic servo but had good food and friendly service.
If it wasn’t so far away from everything/anything I would take all international friends here to show them what a real aussie steak burger with the works should be like.
Lovely staff, good outback feel, delicious burger. Flies aplenty but that’s hard to avoid.
Great place to stop for a break, with good food at good prices, a great atmosphere, and friendly staff/owners.
Staff are happy and generally friendly. It's a bit of a pain having to get someone to unlocj pumps so you can get fuel.
Place is clean
Best coffee on the highway on the East coast of Australia. Big call I know.but I've tried them all!
There fluffy scrambled eggs guarantee me to always pull in everytime I go past!
Decent place to stop for food and a beverage out in the middle of nowhere. A real life saver for picking up fuel.
Rude service
Unclean ammenities
Bugs everywhere
Sites are piled on top of each other
No powered sites at all
Will NOT return due to attitude problems from the old man and the rudest hospitality ive ever witnessed from the old lady.
