Best coffee in Maroubra. I love that they come with a small delicious brownie.
The Eggs Benny with salmon and sourdough is my favorite choice for breakfast.

This is by far the best coffee place in the eastern suburbs; probably in the whole state. The staff are the most lovely people, the food is always fresh and delicious, and let’s not even try to describe how good the coffee is. They have had the same baristas for years and they do an amazing job. I can’t say enough nice things about this place! Dine in or takeaway, you can’t go wrong.

A sub standard experience.
I ordered a coffee and frittata (zucchini and pumpkin).
The coffee was fine, but the frittata was not. I couldn't taste the vegetables, I couldn't taste egg, in fact I couldn't taste anything at all. Strangely the frittata also had pastry (it shouldn't).
Think airline food on a bad day, although apparently the frittata is made in-house.
I attempted to give polite and constructive feedback. I was told that they serve 20-25 frittatas each day (ie my opinion is therefore invalid), it's gluten free (a frittata should be gluten free!) and next time I should order something else (next time? !).

An awesome place, Ek'sentrik lives up to their reviews! Including a shout out in the SMH Good Food Guide as one of tge best local cafes.

When (not if!) you go, must try the B. I. G. Breakkie!

The wait staff are incredibly friendly, with quick service, and very generous portions. We keep going back because of this.

BTW the owner is such a nice guy. His staff clearly mirror his attitude to great customer service.

Ek'sentrik Cafe is an Ek'cellent place to spend an afternoon! The brownie was delicious and more than enough for 2 people. The coffee was some of the best we have had in the area. Finally, the food coming from the kitchen also looked mouthwatering. We will definitely try it on our next visit.

After seeing a huge line in the morning, we came back for an afternoon coffee. There are a few small tables at the front and a large one at the back. The table at the back was able to fit 6 adults and 1 newborn. The cafe had a nice decor and staff were friendly and inviting. The music that was played wasn't too loud and was good to chill out with. Each drink came with a small piece of brownie. Personally I found the ice Nutella with ice cream a little sweet, however my friends liked it. My friends told me the coffee was also made well. Would come back in the future!

But I recommend: Check our takeaway order before you leave… I asked for an omelette with bacon, tomato and feta cheese. But it did not have any feta cheese… I was so disappointed

To say this is a great place is an understatement.
For one, the food is restaurant quality, like a really good restaurant, it's pumped out efficiently, everything is the right temperature, the owner notices if you dont' have sauce or need something, and he is on to it in a second. Truly incredible food.
Secondly, the coffee, so efficient, always at a high standard, and a free piece of brownie- i'm drooling.
The last and probaly most important aspect that contributes to this 100% rating, is the owner himself. He is the kindest, most wholesome, genuinely generous and sincere, and professional. If everyone in the world acted as he did, it would be such a great and happy place. He anticipates your needs to make sure your experience is five star, and his vibe is reflected in his staff.
Do yourself a favour, go there, and see how an amazing business should be run.

Just moved to the area today and randomly came here for lunch.
We got the beef burger and the chicken burger with sweet potato fries. Both were amazing and great value.
Staff extremely friendly and helpful.
Will definitely be coming back

Best brownies ever. I love how they give you a little piece when you get coffee. But it's never enough so we always end up ordering a much bigger piece

It normally is a great local cafe. I was truly disappointed this morning with large weak soya flat and muffin. The ingredients in the muffin were not cooked properly, and the coffee was that strong like double shots. I rang to let them know as improvement not as criticism, the girl just made up a million of excuses which was the worse response to the public. If it wasn't the coffee brand, I couldn't see they would hold the business as it is be honest.

Will not collect the order from this store ever again.say 2 minute will be ready and change to 20 minutes more for waiting.
