Eckersley's Art & Craft reviews
35My all time favourite store. The staff can help you pick stuff. They have deals and sales going on. I often wait for it to shop.
The girl with bad dye hair was quite rude and frankly disrespectful. When I asked for an item she said, “we don’t have everything online. ” And instead of asking what I was doing and she dismissed me saying she can look at other stores. I asked where the framing section was and there was PLENTY of alternatives to what I was looking for.
Really disappointing. When she did tell me about the other store available she made it like I bothered her to find the information.
I went to a couple of art shops in Sydney.
Korea is much cheaper.
But you can only see it here
There is a drawing book, so buy one for $10.
Wow. I walked in unsure of what I wanted/needed for a project;
I walked out with everything I need.
Great staff and good assortment of supplies!
Nice store, selection is good, staff are professional, location is great, prices are medium to high but you expect that from a store in the middle of the city.
Visited this location with my partner and straight away it was clear they felt he was out of place - they asked us if we needed help an excessive amount and did so with a judgemental tone and face. This is very disappointing to me especially considering he wasn’t anything wrong or suspicious, he was simply not their typical clientele. We are aware there may be a store policy to greet each guest, but this was clearly pointed and done more than once by the same staff member. Please consider addressing this with your staff, or perhaps conducting some diversity and sensitivity training so that people of all walks of life can feel comfortable in your store.
Great range of items for artists using a variety of mediums. Really helpful staff who took my list and showed me everything and relevant alternatives. No problems when I returned some things to the shelves. Great service but a bit expensive.
Maybe they just had a bad day, assuming they are 'usually' on top of their customer service (from so many positive reviews).
I'm not entirely sure why the lady working on a Monday afternoon was quite rude to me, maybe because she was so busy doing stocktake?
But, I believe the customers in-store are the priority and you shouldn't hesitate to drop and serve if the customers need help.
First of all, I was not greeted by the lady and the gentleman working on a Monday afternoon when I walked into the store. Secondly, when I asked for help, the lady threw whatever she was holding aggressively and responded to me like I shouldn't have bothered her. Thirdly, when she was serving me at the counter, she was relentlessly speaking to me in an impolite tone.
Perhaps something needs to be addressed with your team, because I always love visiting other Eckersley's stores and this is the first time I've had a negative experience.
Wide selection of arts and crafts at a variety of price points. Whether you're starting out or a professional you kind find what you need here.
The lady with eyeglasses are very helpful, polite, friendly, and cute. Love this art store for my art suppy needs. =)
Great store, friendly staff, well stocked with everything you need to let your inner artist out!
The store was easy to find, very tidy and well organised. The lady at the front counter was very knowledgeable and incredibly kind. I highly recommend paying a visit to this store for both casual purchases and for those who need serious kit. Lots of variety inside:)
One of my favourite art supply shops. Such abundance of supplies! The staff are very friendly and very helpful and they have CoVid-19 security procedures in place.
Very well stocked if you are serious about your sketches.
I was helped very abley by Row, totally no pressure to buy, just strait forward and helpful with suggestions.
Worth a look.
The best place to buy art materials. Best prices. Make sure you look at their own sourced quality products regardless of brand names.
I had a great experience here. The young woman who helped me out was genuine, enthusiastic & really lovely. Will definitely come back again.
Great shop feel with amazing products and good advice. Chris help me with a list of Copic marker list required for my school.
Cute store. There's so many supplies available! Huge paint range, I picked up some fabric paint and a beginner print making kit. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
A great go-to art store, well stocked and fair prices. The staff doesn't hound me as soon as I enter and still was attentive without being overbearing. Didn't know this happy medium existed but here I am, social battery full every time I leave. 10/10 would introvert again.
The windsor and newton canvasses I bought are useless and they won't respond to my messages when I try to contact them.
