I always get good service here from the staff, but their product range is limited and on the expensive end.

Perfect place to get your art supplies! Make sure to say hi to the manager Tony who is very knowledgeable and made me feel very welcome.

Eckersley's in Darlinghurst has temporarily closed so that it can be renovated. I did some shopping on consecutive days due to the great discounted prices. I am writing this review because of the wonderful friendly staff. In particular Tony who was always friendly, helpful and very switched on. He remembered customers names, warmly greeted them and was extremely fast with support. Somehow he was available and helped everyone effortlessly.

There are a few Eckersleys stores around and they all seem to differ slightly in their product range and availability. I can only assume that it's based on demographics and past sales. Personally, I've found the Sydney CBD store and the Darlighhurst store to have the biggest product ranges and products available, especially if you're looking for all the mediums for drawing and painting.

The staff are always helpful if you need any assistance on what to get and they never pressure you into buying anything. Very laid back and it's nice. I never feel rushed in an Eckersleys store.

Keep an eye out for their sales and specials where you can really save quite a lot.

What an amazing shop, the staff are so friendly and very helpful, the prices are amazing, I can't believe I am mealy meters from this outstanding arts outlet.

Didn't have the canvas I wanted and everything seemed to have a 'Made in China' quality.disappointing as Eckersleys used to be my goto for art stuff. Now I goto Parkers

Great experience buying a few gifts for my grandmother who wanted to get back into creating art by buying a pen with a brush nib at the end. Paul Tran’s knowledge of the store’s stock and promotions available helped me chose a 4 for 3 deal on Tombow pens + a Poscal pen & a pad of paper suitable for both. Highly recommend & would go back again to buy presents for friends and family.

Woman working with green hair threatened to call the police on me for having a mask exemption and continued to refuse service and belittle a would be paying customer for personal health concerns. Demanded I showed her my exemption which is a breach of my rights and I do not need to legally show her proof. Terrible way to treat customers. Would not shop here. Go to the york street location where they abide by the law and actually let mask exempt shoppers purchase what they’re after. Would give this place a negative review if possible. Retrain your staff on legal rights.

Great selection for artistic an the artistic challenged like me! High prices= good quality products with wide range excellent staff service an product knowledge. Great for school projects an artistic flavor personal ones as wellVery helpful customer service!

Nice little aladdins cave of art related goodies. Is really nice that you can try the pencils, crayons and things to understand the differences. Obviously it's a premium place and the price matches, but it's great that places like this still exist. The staff were clearly very knowledgeable, recommended.

This Ecks is small, but decent for the space they have. Definitely wouldn't recommend going to this particular one if you need something super specific, as they have mainly base products to suit all needs (which isn't inherently bad). I would recommend it because of the amazing customer service that I have not had elsewhere and the friendly staff. Be prepared to spend a pretty penny, though, its the standard for all Ecks.

My "go to" for all art supplies. I'm an amateur artist who really needs the expert advice of Eckersley's staff. They are always available, patient amd understanding when I ask for help. They give really helpful advice and have a very good range and a loyalty programme too.

Love this art and craft shop! Its medium to large with many types of art and craft catered for.
It had everything i needed on the day.
It is covid safe and i had a short wait outside to enter as they followed shop customer limits.
I called ahead to enquire on my requirec needs and the staff were cheerful, knowledgable and they put things aside for me.
Recommended.
