Terrible experience, would never purchase anything from this place again. I bought a Ottoman on the 26th of November and got told that it won't be delivered until April 2023! Now I have to change plans for Christmas gifts as it won't be coming on time as I hoped for. This is absolutely ridiculous who waits 4 months for a Ottoman especially after being told it would come on next Tuesday's delivery and someone would give me a courtesy call once it's arrived to pick up. Head office don't even answer there phone!

I recently bought a dining set here and realised two months later (prior to delivery) it wouldn’t fit with my other new furniture. As I’d also lost the invoice I thought I was going to have trouble exchanging it for a smaller table, but the sales assistant at Castle Hill couldn’t have been more helpful when I called up to ask about the change. Amazing customer service!

Nice friendly service. Interesting variety of furniture, rugs, home accesssories with more on line and intersting sales reductions to be had when you buy more than one item. E.g such as a buffet plus blue and white plant pot. The buffet was reduced by about $200 when buying any second item. Furniture is a bit Boho with embroidered velvet arm chair with Indian continent style flowers and matching embroidered rug. Worth a look don't know what interesting pieces of furniture you might find like a bone inlay sideboard or outdoor furniture.

Early settler’s customer support is pathetic. Wrong product supplied and hideous product quality. Do not buy their door hardware range. Complete and utter stuff up and nightmare. We have been waiting for some kind of solution for over a month now and only getting ghosted by Mitch from, so called, ‘customer support’. Save yourself the headache

Very very slow delivery time and poor communication. I ordered a table in November 2021, was then told it wouldn’t be delivered until April 2022! This was then delayed until July which they didn’t communicate to me until I contacted multiple times. When it finally arrived it didn’t have any legs! They then said because they don’t have spare parts I would have to wait until August for an entirely new table…as of today this has been delayed again and I’ve had no communication from them. Its now been 9 months since I ordered and it still hasn’t arrived. Really disappointed.

Absolutely appalling service. 1 year waiting for item delivery which was supposed to come in January this year. Website still says item is available to buyers in 13-15 weeks, however I have been waiting for a year and no idea when/if my order will ever arrive. I can only assume my order is allocated to someone else

Paid a deposit for an item and went back the following day to pay the rest and pick it up. After paying, realised the frame of the item was damaged, asked whether we could have some sort of discount due to the damage and was told no along with a poor attitude. After deliberating as to whether we would take it as is, we asked for a 2nd time to see if there was anything they could do, we were given more attitude by the male worker and were told you can have $5 off if you “really want” as they are only two little marks or just get a refund. A refund is exactly what we wanted after that - Early Settler Castle Hill should be appalled that they are represented by a worker like that.

We went there and found 2 tables we needed straight away and were told we had to wait until new year when they had 2 on the floor, so they just lost a $350 sale, unusual way to do business, their shops are just showrooms and nothing else, wouldn't waste my time shopping there.

Had to wait 6 months for fireplace to come in. Finally got a phone call to say it had arrived. They demanded we pick it up immediately and when my wife said she couldn't because she is 7 months pregnant and I wasn't available that day the woman on the phone was extremely rude and implied that it was a big deal for them that they would then have to store my goods for a week. No customer service skills and extremely rude.

Products on the website are a completely different colour to the products in person. Ordered a buy one get one free lamp, putting only one in my basket, expecting the other one to be free. Arrive to pick up my order to get only one lamp. They claim you must have two in your basket, yet doing so doubles the price. Not only did the offer not work, the product I picked was not the one received in person. Incredibly disappointing experience - misleading advertising.

I asked for help to bring an item down to my car to lift in the back as it was 46 kg and the young man told me he couldnt leave the shop even though there were 2 other people working at the time. I wonder if they would of turned down an elderly person. Never will shop there again, no customer service skills. All the best

Staff did not know what they were selling. Phoned in advance to check an electric fire. Told it was in stock and display. Got there they did not have it.

Steer clear! Ordered a coffee and dining table, coffee table arrived damaged and dining table was out of stock with a 2 month wait. They then sent a replacement coffee table which was also damaged and 'forgot' to deliver the dining table when it was back in stock. Customer service don't bother returning calls! It's a shame there isn't a half star rating.

Worst Experience ever. Ordered dining table with chairs and console table back in Oct 18 and assured us it would be delivered before christmas. Since the initial purchase they have postponed 4 times and each time it was either the dining table or the dining table bench and now its mid Jan we still dont have delivery and now they have postponed to mid Feb 19. We lost our patience with them at the the end and cancelled our whole order. The store seemed to be unapologetic about the whole ordeal and didnt care pretty much and refunded the deposit straight away

I used to love this shop but recently bought a bookcase on Boxing Day online and was advised it would be ready for pick up 8 Jan.
On 10 Jan the order hadn't even left the warehouse in Victoria.
By 22nd Jan we still hadn't received confirmation that it had arrived.
I've had to call them multiple times to find out what is happening with order and its location.unacceptable!
Bad service and staff don't seemed to be phased at the fact that as a customer paying money for an item that they should provide some level of customer service and advise it had arrived 6 days ago and has been sitting in their dock.
Won't be spending anymore money there anymore!

Bought a couch and was back in store a few days later prior to the couch being delivered. Noticed that the couch was now on sale. They immediately refunded the difference between the price I paid and the sale price. All done with smiles and a positive attitude. Highly recommend.

I love furniture but finding the pieces that suits my tastes can be quite cumbersome. I am so picky when it comes to the things that I buy. Good thing Early Settler Castle Hill has a lot of great stuff on sale. They have great products and their attendants are always happy to lend you a hand.
