What an amazing place. Didn't know what to expect.
$5 Adult. Rowan was very informative and interesting to listen to.
We ended up spending 2.5 hours there.
Staff were absolutely fantastic, despite being "self guided" multiple staff members took time to answer any questions and show us all the goings on.
Had a amazing experience, the staff are very lovely. Highly recommend. The staff know what they are talking about, learnt some new things on our trip.
Paul was GREAT, very helpful, knowledgeable and funny. I had an opportunity to strip a trout for eggs which was awesome and the highlight of today. Stacey was very patient and awesome also. Well worth a visit
This place is fantastic. So glad we went in. You can access easily with a caravan in tow. $5 each and so informative. Loved it
The kids had a great time. Very cheap educational opportunity. Easy to get to, a couple of kilometres on 2WD friendly unsealed road.
Very hands-on for kids. The staff were really friendly and eager to answer questions or be helpful wherever they could without being at all in your face. They basically are working but will stop and chat whenever you want to ask a question.
Well worth the trip.
We visited today the 4/1/23 and were guided by Rowan on a very memorable experience. The various aquariums inside were marvellous as was the educational film and Rowan's commentary was so very informative. The outdoor ponds and fish feeding were certainly worth the visit and this will go down on my must do list of things to do when talking about the district to anyone I meet and when I visit the region again. It is just so impressive what the DPI do and how many fingerlings are distributed far and wide. Just loved the experience and DPI need to keep Rowan, he is such as a valuable asset and knowledgeable resource to you.
Must visit places if you are heading to ebor fall, awesome self guided tour setup and the introduction video. Antony was much helpful in explaining the entire process.
One of the highlights of our trip. Well worth the visit for a slightly more interactive experience after you’ve seen all the natural sights around. $5 entry for an adult (in a self-guided tour but the staff will always pop up for a quick chat and speak to you about the trout). Would recommend grabbing a bag or two of fish food as there’s plenty of fishes of all sizes to feed. Was plenty of fun, even for the adults!
Staff are very friendly, passionate knowledgeable and helpful! Rowan was fantastic, letting us know about the programs, talking through the stages at the hatchery and providing us lots of fun stories in between.
Grab some smoked salmon on your way out too - recommend the traditional smoked and the lemon bush pepper which has won awards!
Awesome place to visit, very interesting and great learning for all ages. My son and I absolutely loved it.
Very well informed staff who love there job and enjoy the visitors make them feel welcome.
The trout breeding is fantastic
Never thought I'd say I liked fresh water trout however hubby was very keen so we tried the wild bush lemon smoked trout - absolutely DELISH!
Great couple of hours. Really welcoming and friendly. Brilliant community and environment initiative. Super cheap, under fives free. Somewhere fun and easy to go with family and guests.
My family and I loved this place, great to see and hear about all things trout. The staff were lovely and extremely welcoming and can see and hear their passion in their work.
Was able to feed the fish and the staff netted some fish for us to hold and kiss
Really fascinating hour spent exploring this - the staff were really friendly and informative, and our boys (8 and 10) really loved it.
