Dulcie's Cottage

We were a group of 8 wanting to have a few cocktails but when we looked at the menu, there was no detail on what was actually in them (one in our group can't eat oranges/juice and another hates tequila) so we asked at the bar what was in them - he just handed the menu and was not helpful at all!
Burgers were OK but had to pay $5! For a few fries on the side. Long wait for food - we left straight after eating and went elsewhere for a drink.

Unbeatable burgers! Love the food, and vibe at Dulcie's, it's hard to go past. Staff are always friendly and chatty, and the venue has a cozy, relaxed feel that suits the cuisine perfectly. I don't drink, but I know the bar puts out some great drinks, with a huge range, and chatty, happy bar staff. I'd give it 6 stars if I could.

Always wanted to visit as I had heard so much about this venue, unfortunately it did not live up to my expectations was not an enjoyable visit maybe next time?

Food was great and the atmosphere was amazing only issue was by the time our food came out a staff member asked us to move while we were eating to clean under our table which we all found rude

Great friendly staff on hols from brisbane had best fish burger ever so fresh going back next saturday before i leave

Decent burgers, only thing I'd complain about was that the music was excessively loud, we were sitting inside and it started getting irritating after a few minutes

Amazing people, amazing food, amazing heritage of the cottage. However, the wait was longer than expected, just be weary when going at dinner time. Definitely make a reservation beforehand as it gets very busy very fast. Definitely worth a visit and will be returning soon!

Just had The Dulcie Burger. Pretty sure I discovered a new religion. Without a doubt, the best burger I’ve had the honour of even been in the same room as. I can see more colours after that burger. The world is a brighter place.

The wait staff were stunning, legends behind the bar. I feel like a bad person for living 7 hours away from this place. I can promise that if I’m ever within 100kms of Merimbula I WILL come back.

Cold rainy night. Beautiful warming fire and smiles from lovely staff. Great range of drinks and wonderful (I mean really, really good) burgers. I wish this was near home!

Long food wait, staff were rude and obnoxious spent a lot of money and was asked to leave for nothing. Would not recommend

Lovely meal and atmosphere. So busy though, was told an hour wait for food but ended up being nearly 2 hours. Worth it though it was delicious

Went to Dulcies for the first time tonight, having heard great things. The front, outside dining area had a great vibe, whilst the inside decor was very nice. The girl at ‘front of house’ was great. We were seated in the ‘Arthurs’ area on the grass in the backyard.

The place was very busy and we were advised that, as a result, our orders might take, “…. Up to an hour. Having said that…”, she said, “…the times are getting shorter so it might be quicker, maybe half an hour. ”

We ordered 3 burgers (2 x Dulcies burgers and 1 x Chicken burger) at 7: 35 pm. Prices of the burgers were reasonable at $22 each.

I went to the bar at 8: 45 (1hour and 10 minutes) to check on our order. The young lass behind the bar was very friendly and said that she would check with the kitchen and come to our table to let us know. She arrived a short time later and told us that our burgers would be about 20 minutes more, “we weren’t expecting such a big crowd tonight and we only have 3 chefs in the kitchen. ” The burgers arrived at 9: 15.

I understand that it was unexpectedly busy but we booked a table for 7: 15pm and didn’t get our meal until 9: 15. I think it is very poor service to seat as many people as they did without the capability of serving the paying customers within a reasonable time.

For the record; the burgers were excellent; but I don’t think we’ll be back.

Where should I start? Have waited for the burgers for 1h and 41m. Wait staff did not make a tiny effort to make things better, did not check on us, did not communicate anything, when asked when will the food arrive, they said 5min, but it took 10minutes, they did not apologise. Food was pretty average, was out from the place after 11 minutes. Did not enjoy it at all.
BTW, food menu has only burgers, lot's of other people were not happy too.

OK Burger but we waited over an hour and forty minutes for 4 burgers. Didn't get even an apology or a waiter providing an apology. The place is massive, only makes Burger and had 3 people making it. If they can't deliver food in reasonable time, don't take orders. Very disappointing. Ended up getting Burger at 10 pm and couldn't enjoy it

Received phone call day later with an apology & cost of dinner refunded. It's nice that the place decided to take this seriously.

Best burgers. Hands down. Fries - amazing. Sauces, even better. Location? One of the most beautiful parts of what the country has to offer. A proper south coast sensation.

Extremely good burgers, highly recommended. If your kids are picky, then you can do a build your own burger. Seems very busy in the holiday season so table reservation is needed.

Visited Dulcie’s today with a friend and we loved it! I had the fish burger and she had the cheeseburger, both were flavourful and tasty. The drinks were great too, and the bartenders were very friendly and made good conversation. Lovely vibe sitting outside, highly recommend visiting Dulcie’s if you’re in Merimbula.

Beautiful food, beautiful cafe with lovely staff.
I loved the fact the burger buns are soft, but crispy on the edges melts in your mouth, just delicious!
