Dr. Surya seem very competent no doubts. My GP referred him as the best in town. However, I give 2 stars from me, as patient perspective. I felt him impatient and in a hurry (maybe because I misunderstood the location and ended up getting 20 min late to the consultation?). It was bit difficult to understand him as he was faster speaker (English is not my first language but I listen and understand well living and working here in Australia for 6 years. Despite this fact, he kept going explaining the procedures and asking many questions but didn't give me properly time to answer (!). I gave him referral letter from my GP with all my health informations, but he asked anyways. For 250aud consultation I would expect more than the 15 min given, especially when we're talking about women uterus health, delicate and invasive procedures. He looked worried about HIS timeline. He also seemed bothered when I made questions to reassure if I was understand the advice/ process. Doctor, please treat you patients with more empathy, we are human beings looking after our delicate matters health care not just about timeline and or money. Thank you.

I recently had surgery with Dr Krishnan and couldn’t be more grateful. It’s a good sign when other specialists, his colleagues, refer to him. This man is very experienced. Highly recommend

Dr Krishnan is the best specialist I have ever had the pleasure of being treated by. My 'health' issues have been explained to me thoroughly and in terms I understand. Dr Krishnan is one of the most knowledgeable, respectful and caring doctors I’ve ever seen. His extensive experience and knowledge made the whole c-section process painless and easy which allowed us to enjoy the unique and precious moments of our lives when our babies were born. Our family is very much grateful to Dr Krishnan’s care.

He is a master of his craft! Dr Krishnan guided us through two pregnancies, both with different complications. The last time, nearly 9 months ago, ended with emergency surgery and I am here today because of him. My husband and I are thankful everyday that we chose him as our obstetrician. From the very first meeting with him nearly a decade ago, I have felt comfortable with him. He takes his time to explain things and is always available. He took the extra care and managed my conditions quickly and carefully, ensuring each time that I, and baby, were extremely well looked after. With both pregnancies, he arrived within 30 minutes of being contacted on a Sunday. He told me that he would be there at the end, and he was. I only ever saw him. He did not flick me to another obstetrician. He is highly respected amongst other doctors and nursing staff. I highly recommend him as a gynaecologist and obstetrician. Also, Karen, his midwife, and Lora, his practice manager, are just wonderful.

We have had Dr Krishnan for both our pregnancies. Could not speak highly enough of him. He was professional, calm and always available (even outside appointments when I was anxious and had questions). He has a great bedside manner and my recovery has been great post c-section surgeries. I recommend him to all my family and friends

Dr Krishnan helped us to deliver our baby girl via c section. He made the whole c section process seem quick, easy and painless. He was calm, professional and attentive throughout our pregnancy journey. He even called me out of his working hour because I was nervous and had so many questions. My husband and I are grateful and super happy to have Dr Krishnan as our obgyn. Definitely going back to Dr Krishnan if we plan to have another baby in the future. Highly recommended

I have had the privilege of being under Dr Krishnan’s care for the management of all of my pregnancies. I first met Dr Krishnan over 10 years ago when my sister attended his practice.

During this time, he has safely delivered 3 of my parents 5 grandchildren and I couldn’t be more grateful for the kindness he has afforded my family, particularly during difficult times in the pregnancy journey.

His gentle and controlled manner is calming and driven by his quiet confidence. He always demonstrates genuine care for me and an investment in my wellbeing, and to me, you can ask little else of a health care practitioner.

Dr Krishnan managed my expectations and concerns effectively in order to provide the highest quality of care for both myself and my babies. He always made me feel that I was in safe, steady and incomparably capable hands.

His skill as a surgeon is exceptional. Both c section scars I have are minimal and barely visible. I have had conversations with various hospital staff throughout my pregnancy and his reputation certainly precedes him, and for good reason. He is an expert in his work and he is highly respected. He is humble and focused on providing the best care he can. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with such a sensitive and special time in life.

Dr Krishnan’s entire team including Lora, Michelle and midwife Karen are also incredibly kind and always there to support and assist you. Nothing is ever too much trouble and they really are wonderful women. They certainly made my experience at Sydney Women’s Clinic outstanding.

I can’t thank Dr Krishnan and his team enough. They are simply superb!

We were very impressed by Dr Surya Krishnan. My husband and I had heard he was one of the best in his field, so we looked no further when deciding on our OB. What we experienced was a very humble, gentle doctor who was relaxed and calm, but never faulted on monitoring and analysing the health and progress of our baby girl - you could always tell he was incredibly experienced.

Dr Krishnan guided us through two pregnancies, the birthing process and after care and we are lucky to have two happy and healthy children. Dr Krishnan has a gentle demeanour and approach and I always felt comfortable, informed and cared for. My husband also appreciated being given the opportunity to be present, involved and included in the pregnancies and births. We would highly recommend Dr Krishnan and his practice and we are grateful for his care and kindness in delivering our children.

Dr Krishnan has managed two of my extremely complex pregnancies and delivered two healthy babies by Caesarean section, both pregnancy’s were high risk and Dr Krishnan guided me through each pregnancy minimising the risks and managing them.
I really appreciated that Dr Krishnan was always there at any time to answer questions or deal with any complication with aplomb and had the ability to calm my anxiety during the pregnancy and births.
Dr Krishnan is kind, humble and expert surgeon, I was able to safely place my trust in his hands.

I would recommend him to any expectant mother especially anyone who is anxious or has a high risk pregnancy journey, Dr Krishnan is by far the best obstetrician in Sydney and his staff are lovely as well especially his midwife Karen.

If you want the best care and the best outcome then you can safely place your trust in Dr Krishnan and I am so grateful to him as his staff.

Dr. Krishnan is simply Godsent! I finally conceived after a laproscope and bowel resection conducted by Dr Krishnan back in 2021 as I have severe endometriosis - hubby and I have been childless for 11 years. So, I naturally went back to Dr. Krishnan as my obstetrician as mine was a high risk pregnancy due to IVF, GDM and also my age factor - 1st baby at the age of 40. Dr. Krishnan was extremely professional and guided both my husband and I along the way. My baby was in breech so I had to undergo a C-section which was conducted by Dr. Krishnan with utmost care. His expertise is just remarkable as he genuinely looks for any early signs of risks to mitigate them. Example, one of my scans showed my cervix was getting weaker and he prescribed me with progesterone to maintain a safe pregnancy right before delivery. On the 28 Feb 22, Dr. Krishnan delievered our baby boy safely. Not to forget Karen Grey, his midwife whom we took antenatal classes and received all the assurance as this is our first baby. Hubby and I are extremely grateful to Dr. Krishnan and his entire team who made this journey as smooth as possible for us and bub. Thank you all and God bless!

Having a history of complications trying to conceive I was referred to Dr Krishnan, who immediately put me at ease. No stone was left unturned in an effort to discover my underlying problems. Once found, my reconstructive surgery and post operative care were exceptional in every regard. Dr Krishnan was always available and responsive to my requests. I have since had two children and am beyond thrilled. His staff were amazingly supportive. Highly recommended!

My review comes 4 years late, as many of the mental issues around this incredibly disappointing experience are coming to the surface now - I am just so angry and upset with my experience at this practice, which has negatively affected my relationships with others, particularly my husband.

Firstly, in my mind, my appointments were always short and never really covered my concerns, I felt that my horrible symptoms and suffering were dismissed as simply being normal or I was complaining. I [regretfully] stayed because I feared switching OB would add stress to an already stressful pregnancy - I also had a low placenta and had suffered a miscarriage a few months earlier - and where we had already spent $3500+ management fee and appointments.

A the Prince of Wales, I underwent a planned C-section and almost (literally) bleed to death having lost ~4 litres, due to some error or oversight when stitching me up. Earlier, I raised my concerns with Dr Krishnan that my C-section was to occur after he'd already completed a full days work and was done in his "overtime"; like I was just added on to the end of a day to fit in his tight schedule - this certainly didn't help me feel like a valued patient, and I sometimes run it through my mind that maybe this caused the incident.

After my C-section I was moved to my room and after a while I felt something was wrong, but the nurse told me that my feeling is totally normal then the third nurse looked under the blanket and everything was soaked in blood. So much blood. She pressed the emergency button and about 10 medical staff rushed my room and my husband was kicked out of the room into the hallway with my baby. I thought that was the last time I would ever see either of them.

I was told by a nurse that Dr Krishnan had left the hospital before the allotted time and this, plus traffic, was leading to a delay in getting back into surgery - it honestly felt like a lifetime to wait for the OB. I stammer and begged to see my husband & new born baby for what I thought would be my last minutes but my request was ignored. The feeling of hopelessness, and all of it in slow motion, is still so vivid no mater how hard I try to forget. I survived but when I was discharged I wasn't issued painkillers (after a C-section!). And was on a course of iron pills that seemed like forever. I don't feel like anything was ever explained to me.

The last time we saw Dr Krishnan was for a check-up. He told us that we were supposed to or could to see his mid-wife for counselling before or after birth - he somehow forgot to mention this to us which made me feel he was irresponsible and made me furious! Only my baby's cute, little face helped ease my anger.

I've been busy raising my child but deep inside of me I'm still so angry about my choice of using this practice. Now I have been diagnosed to postnatal depression - 4 years after giving birth. It has taken me that long to get the courage to write about my unpleasant experience. The choice of OB matters a lot.
