Dr Errol Jacobson

Do not be alarmed by the bad reviews. I am leaving this review because I was worried about seeing dr Jacobson for the first time after reading the reviews. Dr Jacobson is an upright professional, deeply knowledgeable in his field and diagnosed me well.

I had appointments at the clinic for ADHD assessment with Dr Errol Jacobson. Michele at the reception is very lovely, and she kindly helped me with all my admin related questions. Dr Jacobson is very empathetic and approachable. He was actually willing to listen to my concerns rather than forming a prejudgment about my situation. I have been to several psychologists before and they have all brushed off my symptoms as being only anxiety related or perhaps a Bipolar 2. It didn't make much sense because having been on antidepressents and to therapy sessions a few times, my attention and hyperactivity was still to the point that it was interfering with my personal and professional life at a level that concerned me. I understand I do have an anxiety disorder but I felt invalidated in the past because it didn't seem entirely correct. Today is my first day of being diagnosed with ADHD and trying out meds. I have been feeling like I have all this clarity in my usually chaotic brain and I have been able to for once not procrastinate the simple boring tasks and actually complete them. Now I am looking forward to also attend therapy sessions once I am able to afford them. I highly recommend attending the clinic if you need help because my experience tells me it's the place where they are welcoming and actually care about your wellbeing.

Unfortunately, I was miss diagnosed here. He’s a very nice doctor but because of tunnel vision, it took me an extra 4months before I finally got the help I needed.

I have seen Dr Jacobson three times so far and think he is the best psychiatrist I have ever seen. He has a lot of wisdom and empathy. I would highly recommend him.

Been on meds for years, suppose to send them 3 weeks ago, my mental health and anger has only worsend, i have severe adhd, bipolar, depression and anxiety and im not coping, trying to get my script "im entitled to" and still not got it.stated whatim going through and no cares in the world from the proffesionals.what do we have to do to get it.going to the medical boared i think this is atrocious, people like me need these meds to have a normal day of live unlike these proffesionals.
Really getting angry called everyday so far for 4 days and still no script.

Absolutely atrocious! My child is on meds and we have to call and email continuously to receive the prescription to get filled (this last one was the wrong one) and my child ends up being off their meds for weeks at a time. I cannot begin to understand how this person calls themselves a psych.

I was a bit concerned as I read the reviews after I had made my appointment, but with waiting lists as they are needs must. And I am extremely happy with the service from reception and the manner and disposition of Dr Jacobson and the ongoing plan we have formed. I would highly recommend him for Adult ADHD.

Since my very first consultation I have actively avoided calling the practice (sent emails instead) because the receptionist is rude and dismissive. I have ADHD and due to this can be quite disorganised, when I asked the receptionist what I needed to do to be ready for the appointment she became rude, like I was waiting her time.
Just like other reviews say, she is dismissive when asked if there is a discount or payment plan for people on a low/strict budget.
The impression I got was that she feels "TOO GOOD" to help and only wants your money.

Dr Jacobson was okay/ish but not worth the money especially if I have to deal with her.

Was looking for a new phyciatrist as mine unfortunately is medically retired. The receptionist was absolutely discusting, she was aggressive and unpolite, you are dealing with patients you would think that you guys would be more compassionate with clients that has mental health. I would not come and see this phyciatrist if the receptionist is rude that's already a bad Start. I'm soo upset, I feel that I was under valued by her behaviour and completely turned off even stepping foot into this practice. I would not recommend this practice to anyone. If they can't get the receptionist right the phyciatrist would be right. First impression is last impression for me.

Absolutely disgusting reception staff, just called up to enquire about prices and asked if it was possible to email an outline of the prices and what the first consult would involve and what not, as we’re on a budget with how expensive places are and the lady literally responded with ‘No, I don’t have time for that, we have lots of patients, this is the cost’
Like what does the first consult involve compared to the difference of price for the rest of the appointments?
Sorry but do not waste your money here! This is supposed to be a psychiatrist to help those in need, why hire such rude staff, at a psychiatrist?

I am a bi polar patient have been on a good regiment of medication for over 18 years i am now more stable than ever, my Psychiatrist was very busy I made a adjustment to my medication so we forwarded my files to him so he could help and monitor me, I paid $450 to get attacked and abused that I should not be taking my medication I should be going to group meetings to talk about my childhood, he was nasty abusive and pushed me to the point of wanting to kill my self, I advise never going to see this Dr.
