Douglass Hanly Moir Pathology reviews
17I took my GTT here and Jessica is very good nurse! She is very gentle and I didn’t feel any pain usually at other pathologies they always rupture my veins as I have tiny veins.
I can’t believe in the layout of this place.
You never have a place to sit. It is old, not well designed, almost s disrespect to its customers.
I believe it has the same structure for the past 20 yrs! Hellooo, with all the money you guys make we deserve a better place!
Unprofessional ~ nurse was in waiting room on phone I think watching TV series. She eventually assisted us, and asked us to go hospital pathology. I won’t go here again
Waited more than 2 hours (8 to 10.10).
Open at 8. In what country are we? ! So when you work you need an extra day off because it opens very late. And the worst part, you have to wait outside (it’s a ticket system).
The only way to get to the head of the queue or within a couple of spots of it, is to take a ticket at 7am, as one smart punter did when I was there, and then come back when they open at 8am. Otherwise, prepare for an hour's wait, minimum, on a footpath with no seating. Service is courteous and efficient, and I would give more stars if they can sort the wait times.
I had a great experience with the staff. The lady that did my blood test was so sweet and very patient, made me feel very comfortable:)
I know it’s covid etc but we stood outside for an hour with zero communication from staff. Not very organized!
They don’t take appointments so wait times can be very long. I waited in the que for 1.5 hours for my morning visit.
Yaaaas to Lady Robyn professional, gentle and lovely, explained everything to me and make me feel comfortable. Thank you, stay safe see you next time. *5
I am always amazed how incredibly friendly and professional their staff is. Highly recommended if you need a blood test done in a quiet and comfortable place with no queues.
I've had two blood tests at this centre within the past month and both times have found the staff to be quite rough/careless which has resulted in bruising (which is very uncommon for me). I also agree with some of the other feedback regarding the abrupt customer service.
Prices are way out for non-Australian residents even if you own Medicare and they won’t tell you this when you ask on the phone.
Unbelievably harsh customer service when it's busy. The lady at front desk treated even the elderly customers with no compassion and very little patience. Not sure if this is only today considering the other reviews about this place and the busy time. But suggesting your elderly customers (that was already waiting for an hour) to catch a bus and go somewhere else is not the best customer service impression you want to see.
Great friendly staff and lovely nurses especially Robyn who does an amazing job managing the place and keeping it all together. It wouldn't be the same without her top notch organisational skills and genuine care factor. The pathology centre offers lots of services too. Never had to wait very long during the weekday though on Saturdays it can get busy but this is to be expected. Plenty of street parking and very close to cafes for when you need a coffee after your visit here:)
Based on my limited experience here, and based solely on the customer service. 3 stars. The receptionist was warm, friendly and helpful. The person taking the blood was cold, unfriendly and in a bad mood. For 8: 30 in the morning it was surprising.
What a beautiful set of staff. So genuinely kind and caring. I had my bloods taken today and I became very faint, my nurse noticed the changes in my talking and the paleness in my face and instantly checked to see if I was still alright. She stopped, I had water, we laid me down, I was over heating and very very faint. The whole time she and the other staff were making sure I was still alright. I was nearly passed out. I have low blood pressure and hadn’t eaten. Once I was more composed again we moved to another room so I could lie down while she finished my test, ofcoarse only once I was sure I was alright. She insisted I lay there for another 5 minutes after my test so she could check on me and then she wanted me to sit in the waiting area for a few more minutes before leaving. I felt so safe and cared for, even though it was quite scary and I felt very unwell at some points. I am amazed at how beautiful they all are and I would go there anytime I need a blood test. Really lovely staff, professional and caring.
