Dive In Swimming Academy

The Swim Instructors and Ground Staff have all been friendly and helpful. Have nothing to fault. The facilities themselves are well maintained and perfect for what is on offer.
My daughter especially likes Miss Emily.

I understand and respect swimming lesson structures vary from school to school and state to state, and this is the same for the focus skills specific for each age group.

My only constructive feedback is that my 3.5yr old finds her lessons boring (her words) as there is minimal variation to learning the skills throughout the lesson. It's repetitive laps (also understand the importance of repetition for learning) for about 20mins of a 30mins lesson.

I say this as we came from a swim school in QLD, so have something else to compare the structure to and have noticed a difference in my child's engagement and this behaviour in her lessons.

E.g at Dive In (Starfish level) it is constant laps of kicking and dog paddling with/without floaties and varying the number of floaties used, a couple of laps with a kick board, before the last 10mins when they do a couple of back floats, a couple of jumping into the pool before finishing off with a turn of learning to dive.

Our previous Swim School did a lap of kicking with dog paddling out to a table in the middle of their lane to stand, rocket ship arms to dive and do the lap back to the wall. There was another lap back out to the table to then go over to the wall for Monkey hands along the wall back to their original starting spot.
This process was followed with back floating variations, more kicking and dog paddling (still out to the table) on a big mat and with kick boards, broken up with jumping into the pool and learning to dive also.

The class ran for 30mins also, had enough variety to keep the children engaged and focused without being too much information. My child was 3 at the time, knew the structure of her class and also didn't use floaties.

I have huge respect that the Swim Instructors have a duty of care first and foremost to the safety of each child in their lesson and this is so important to Parents.

I reiterate that I fully understand and respect that each Swim School focuses and structures their classes in the way they feel is best practice and don't want to take away from that, just wanted to give my input

I have recommended Dive in to so many of our family friends and many have changed their kids swimming classes to Dive-in in the last few years. They had amazing customer service earlier and Josh especially has helped me many times to schedule makeup lessons and change class timings etc.

Great for kids learning to swim but extremely hot for parent, recommend sitting in the air conditioning area. Otherwise staff are incredible.

A big thank you to this swim school for being amazing with our 3 boys! A special mention to Karin, Dennis, Jose, Bree & Josh who all left a lasting impression on our boys & us as parents watching from the side. The reception staff are just as great, very approachable, understanding & on top of it all. Unfortunately as we are moving out of the area we have had to move to another swim school, going to be hard not comparing as so far we can't find one as good as Dive In!

Lessons are fine, but would it kill them to install a circulation fan or something! It's ridiculous how hot and stuffy it is in this place.

Highly recommend Dive In Swim Academy. They have friendly accommodating Team members, and I can always trust my children are in safe hands.
We have been coming to Dive In for over 6 years, and I love watching my children become safer, stronger swimmers because of the amazing Teachers, who are patient with my children and understanding their individual needs!

I attended Dive In Swimming Academy today for lap swimming and found the facilities to be very clean and well maintained, including great water quality. I was swimming outside of normal lesson times so I found the atmosphere to be nice and relaxing. Staff were also very friendly.

5 stars they are an amazing swimming centre wouldnt want my kids anywhere else.
Everyday my son asks if he can go swimming he loves it and has a strong bond to staff

Both my boys attend Dive in, and the experience has been absolutely fantastic. One of my children is Autistic, and struggled with his face in the water, coordination, and loud noise.

The lessons were structured in a way which included different techniques to help assist with any struggles.

Knowing how teach is one skill, but being able to assist children with any special needs. And be empathetic is another!

Our daughter has attend Dive-in swimming academy for the past 2 years and has developed the most amazing skills through Dennis's hard work and dedication to helping children learn the fundamentals of swimming. I would highly recommend Dive-in swimming academy

We love DiveIn my 3 year old has been taking classes since he was 4 months old and we are so impressed with his progress. My 10 month old is currently in the baby class. Staff are always pleasant and helpful, and have been great with our kids. Highly recommend.

Absolutely terrible customer service! I would give them 0 stars if I could. My son commenced swimming at 4 months and is now 7 months. Every month we receive a notice that our fees are late even though I have funds in my account and have other direct debits coming out of this account with no issues. Told the issue was fixed but still occurring.

Reception staff don’t even acknowledge you… so much for a “family” centre. Had to spend $30 on a swim nappy (son had soiled his) because they had no disposables in stock… they just reopened after holidays… wouldn’t you check upon reopening?

Centre uses flotation devices which is fine but my son can’t even move his arms with floaties on, let alone swim.

Have found another centre and can’t wait to get away from this place!

Really love Dive In. My kids can be a handful and the teachers at Dive In are very patient, skillful and accommodating!

I have been taking my son here after he was traumatised by another swim school. They are caring, friendly and very helpful people. My son is now enjoying swimming, gaining water confidence and gets excited when it is time to go swimming lessons (he used to cry.a lot). I cannot thank Dive In enough for the change they have made in a few weeks. Amazing people. Highly recommended.

We love this place staff and teachers are amazing! My kids always look forward to the swimming lesson and we actually use the lesson as a bribe for good behaviour at home!

My girls have learnt heaps since joining here, especially my 5 year old, they always enjoy coming for their swimming lessons, thank you!
