Design A Robe Built-In Wardrobes

Worst trade experience ever. Stay away. Person who did the measure and quote got one of the measurements wrong, which meant the wardrobe did not fit. Rather than owning it and making it right, Owner (Elias) was aggressive and did everything he could to avoid correcting issues / remaking doors.

Ended up having to go to FairTradeNSW to try and resolve. Owner made more promises to FairTrade that turned out to be the same lies I have heard from them before. 9 months later and I still don’t have a finished wardrobe and I have had to pay to have the walls around my wardrobe replastered and painted due to damage done by installer.

Update Jan 2020 - eventually gave up on trying to get Design a robe to complete job and paid a different company $1500 to make the 2 doors that design a robe never delivered dispite being paid for. Honestly, design a robe’s actions in this instance (and appears to be others) are criminal. If I had the time the right thing to do would be to take this further in court and hopefully prevent others going though this.

Dear Elias please come to fix that door. I can not use a wardrobe. And mirror sit dangerously unsupported. It is second week of constant calling. Not much help from you side. Please take that door back. Honestlywe were very happy with price and quality from begining. It did change my bedroom. Had a little bit difficulties to arrange installation from the beginning. But eventually Amid (sorry if wrong spelling) did very nice accurate job. We had not easiest case - not many companies wanted to do shallow drawers by depth as if runners not standard (40cm) it cost much more. Design a Robe could do it as they do kitchen drawers. Love triple track for my walk in robe. They did for us as well big size frameless mirror door. True one door came with bended edge- they fixed during the week and brought it in evening. No scratched flooring, not much cleaning after. Thanks very much. Four stars just in case. Well done.

Had some wardrobes and walk in robes at my place. The customer service was absolutely fantastic and the service of the installer Bob and Iggy had done an amazing job. Highly recommend Designarobe for the workmanship and quality. I have no hesitation to recommend them to others looking for wardrobes and walking robes.

Design A Robe created fantastic joinery solutions for 4 rooms in our house. Eli and Bob were meticulous in their detail and really cared about delivering a product that we were happy with. Highly recommended for quality, customer service and good value.

Very disappointed with after sales service. Tried for two months to get additional shelves made for our fitted wardrobes without success. Contacted a company in Warriewood who had shelves made for me within 48 hours. Only wished I had known about and used that company initially.

Highly recommended! I had a very large wardrobe installed (3x3.5m) in a federation apartment and it is perfect. Excellent craftsmanship and no hassle installation. I am now in the process of ordering an entertainment unit through the same company.

We did tv unit, kitchen butlers pantry and laundry overhead cupboards. The quality of the finished product is really good. Very happy! Everything came out as we expected and as per the diagrams we were given at the quotation time.

Used them 5 years ago, very good. Rang again 2 weeks ago. Had to call back repeatedly to organise appointment. Consultant Robyn didn’t turn up on an appointment she never made but when I called was told that she said she called and made appointment. Was given her number for me to chase her down. Recommend AVOID. Must have changed hands and moved away from Cammeray.

Great company. They were prompt to email me invoices and the gentleman that installed my two wardrobes was fantastic, did a great job. Would recommend this company.

Terrible service. After many phonecalls chasing them up, and my fourth day of waiting for them to install, my wardrobe is still not in.
They’re great at quoting stage, but once the job is locked in, terroble customer service. They don’t communicate their delays either, waiting instead for you to chase them up.

Very professional and competitive pricing. The team did a wonderful job in assisting me with the right solutions, selections and complete installations. Had a great customer experience and would strongly recommend Design A Robe for the job.

The cupboards themselves are basic but fine. We were very disappointed with the company's service. We had the installers coming and was not informed until they arrived that we would need to pay them a separate fee, in cash. The company claimed to have emailed this information over but had my email wrong - despite my husband having corrected this information when we paid our deposit.

When installed, the cupboards themselves were covered scratches that we only noticed after the installers had departed. Design A Robe offered no apology whatsoever - instead blaming our builders for the scratches, despite the fact that our builders were not actually working in the rooms with the cupboards.
