During my daughters lessons this week, I ask the staff at the check in counter about aqua play. The dome looks open! WHEN is it open?
- 'Oh always. Pretty much whenever'.
After lockdown, what a relief.
So, I rearrange my afternoon, pick up my daughter early from Kindy, and. The dome is closed. Closes at 2pm today. I relay my previous conversation, to be told 'it's always closed during lessons'.
I pointed out that's not true - cause it was clearly open during my daughters Tuesday lesson 2 days ago.
So, insert 'randomly open at times that suit us'?
Except, on my second staff member, and third attempt, I'm suddenly told about THE TIMETABLE. (It's there on the counter)
UIggghhh. So difficult.

I was a member at the Des Renford for around 7 months in 2020/2021 and it was the best gym I have ever been too! The staff were always so friendly and happy to give advice / help where needed. The facilities were great and equipment was kept clean. I went pretty much every night during ‘peak’ hours and there was still always lots of room for training - even with covid restrictions! Huge toilets and shower block downstairs. So many classes & all actually worth going too! Added bonus of swimming pools. I would definitely recommend this gym any day!

Great swimming centre. There's inside and outside pools and a gym upstairs. Creche which apparently means babysitting centre in fancy council language so presumably you can throw your kids down while you go for a swim. You can have parties in the big pooll up the back which has a blow up castle

Best crunchiest hot chips in Sydney. It is very strange that a swimming pool & fitness centre sells the best hot chips in Sydney.so good it borderlines suspicious

My daughter comes here for swimming class. Instructors often have a chat each other intead of watching their students to fix their swimming form. It seems like they just let them keep swimming.

Great local swimming pool with gym? ‍️. Fantastic facilities. Excellent staff, very helpful. Great coaching for up and coming Olympians. Lots of parking.
Outside is surrounded by sports fields. (Heffron Park).

The swimming experience was fine, but the hot chips are on a different level. I have no idea what secret methods they use to make those chips but they are easily superior to hungry jacks' chips.

I've been going to this place for several months now for gym/swimming sessions and I can't love it more.

Aqua Play times are no good. An open time of 10.15am is too late for toddlers. Also, very inconsistent on entry procedures. Some weeks your allowed in at 9.30am and other weeks your made to wait outside next to the driveway with your children until 10.15am and watched over by the rude dragon woman.

Nice centre but they really need to open back up for kids or give some indication of their plan.

Instructors are great but the actual people working at reception the swim school are horrible. They will never admit to entitlement mistake and offer to corrected. I know what I signed up for and I clearly remember the conversation but they have resigned up for a time that does not suit me and forgot to notify me. I wish I had the conversation recorded when I spoke to the lady from the swim school whereas we discussed the enrolment times.

Would give 0 star if i could. Bad experience, booked online and they said didn't take casual entries. Doesn't make sense at all! Very rush asking u join membership to get in, just 5 mins just 5 mins, filled up this form. After i've done, they said not able to join the yoga class for now. Waste my time! Very upset.

I come here every 59 days, today was disappointing.
Today I came along with my pet Siberian Husky, Alexei. I came to teach Alexei how to swim in the 0.2m pool but it was taken by a overweight dark skinned lady, not a problem.
I moved over to the big pool and as soon as I stepped in the water, a school of 700 arrived (mariscellin pagewick or something like that, the same school that fights at eastgardens and pushes us public on buses), and they were diving and splashing into the pool and looking at me funny. What? How else do you teach your pet how to swim?
I was holding his furry little paw and in jumps a big overweight turkish kid, probably weighs 200kg or so and a kid with a rather unusually large head jumps and water splashes over me and my poor pet husky like a tsunami.
I was in lane 2 and then I see the whole school kid crowd in the stands shouting something to me, I don't know, I don't speak english. I didn't know what they want, can't I teach my pet siberian husky how to swim? This is honestly ridiculous.
Anyway, this is not the end of this ridiculous leisure centre. All the seats in the stands were taken by the disrespectful school kids who were littering and throwing yellow plastic around everywhere and pieces of paper. I couldn't sit on the stands, and couldn't sit beside them, everything was taken by these disrespectful school kids.

I needed a drink of water very badly, I was very dehydrated and the taps to drink from were at most 50cm off the ground, how am I supposed to drink from that, I myself, am a 2m tall russian man. How am I supposed to drink from that, canteen was full as usual because of the school kids.

I will not ever come here again, this was advertised as a dog friendly no kid swimming pool, do not come here and I do not recommend this place. I then went to enjoy myself at Pezza's Pizzaria. I will not be recommending this place to Elon Musk and my associates.

Swim instructors are lovely, cafe staff and life guard staff are also lovely and very helpful. Entry and reception staff are rude. Many occasions have been very unhelpful and have made errors on enrollment. When trying to fix the errors refuse they refuse to admit fault and say there is no record. Also my sister was forced to pay entry when accompanying our three children to intensive swim lessons. She was forced to pay entry because she had a swimsuit on under clothing even though she was not swimming just supervising. Apparently if you wear swimwear you must pay.even though its summer and you may swim elsewhere. She was also accused of not paying for the children's lessons only standard entry. This offensive especially as the children also attend lessons during the term. Staff should be polite and not make assumptions.

I recently attended this 'leisure centre' to practice my breast stroke for the upcoming olympic games. I drove here in my tesla and was disappointed it did not have valet parking. I arrived to only be greeted by a old cranky lady who had no clue who i was and then i walked into the gents change-rooms where i was greeted by 5 hairy lebanese men who were nude. I put on my budgy smugglers and go to the outside pool. I am breaststroking in lane 1 before about 10 kids from a local school (i will not name for legal reasons) jump in my lane and almost break my back. Thankfully the security kicked the whole school out and i could enjoy my rest of my day.

Good place to swim at. Lots of pools to do laps. However the change rooms are not a very comfortable place to be. I have been there to swim multiple times and 90 percent of the time the change room smells very bad. A big improvement needs to be made with the cleaning of the change rooms.

Gym has a fair range of equipment and is uncrowded outside of peak times.
Cleanliness is an issue with lots of dust, hair and sweat marks that looked like they haven't been wiped down in a while

I had a bad experience with a lady who is staff of swimming lesson table. I thinks her name Rourke. She was so rude. I asked something which was not understood clearly. But she said to me, dont explain again. I explain yesterday. Even i said sorry my english is not good. I didn't understand.

I have to say that you made my day with your friendly service. I can see a lot of improvement in your kiosk area and I love the fact that it is always clean every time that I come for a swim. I would recommend specially for families as they are really serious about safety. It's a friendly environment where you can have fun and enjoy yourself.
