Food was really bad, price was expensive and no Kids option at all. If your looking for a family friendly venue the Dee Why RSL is not it.

Not a fan of any place that has it's priorities on gamblers spending their money on the gaming machines

Good food in the Battery House and the Bistro / Tastes of Asia. Good selection of drinks and cocktail in Battery House. The gaming area is big with enty of selection, free hot drinks and soft drinks whilst playing and and very reasonably priced food menu. Top marks all round.

Worst customer service, the Chinese food was tasteless, I don't know whether they were ignoring us or don't understand English. The plate of chips they gave us was soggy, where chips must be served right out of fryer, saw them giving from bainmarie. The counter staff at food service don't want to help choosing the food. Likewise, right opposite went for jug of beer but they said no and gave a scooner instead. Later, realised felt racism as they gave jugs of beer to other white customers.
The food plate was slightly broken and could see cockroaches over the place. The customer service around not helpful at all. We asked for help and they said go there and pick it up.

Worst place and experience ever and don't recommend anyone. Would give -1 if possible.

Had a lovely meal with 2 of our friends and enjoyed the new clubhouse all refurbished and looking nice! Service good, food good and so local to us!

Went for dinner at 6.15pm but options available looked 2nd hand, dry and over cooked. Obviously club is more focused on gaming machine revenue than actual "community" values

Excellent food in the pub, with a decent selection of beers on tap too. Never struggle to find a park either.

I’m a gambler this place is one of the worst places to gamble at straight down no features or payouts go to the pubs guys give this one a miss

The club is not a place to relax anymore. Obviously targeting different clientele. It feels loud, disjointed and messy. Areas are poorly laid out with little thought.
Staff are friendly though and a good selection of drinks. Lost its appeal IMHO.

Pretty nice place for having fun with friends where we can do gambling too, loved the snooker pool to play in a really cheap cost.
Overall good to go for fun and drinks ️️

I am a member and excited about the renovations, just completed a course there and the venue was perfect for the job

Great place to disappoint a kid. My daughter simply asked for a tomato sauce from the bistro and the lady behind the counter had issues with giving her tomato sauce as she said if she kept asking for the sauce she would have to charge us. The meal itself was $21 and my membership ran for 3 years. Surely a bottle of tomato sauce provided to the patrons for FREE would not hurt the RSL. You have thousands of members here in DEE WHY RSL and you yell at a kid for two sachets of sauce to make your very bland, overpriced, "member priced" $21 worth of potato and fish that you did not even catch yourselves! VERY DISAPPOINTING DEE WHY RSL. I wonder how you would respond to a veteran that wanted the same service? Hmmm? Never coming here again to eat! Your lady behind that counter should be fired! RUDE hospitality.

Very oily “chips” it’s just like onion rings without the onions. Biting pure uncooked oil thin chips. I’d rather buy Bitcoin

Travelled down from the central coast in this bad weather to visit my relatives and was greeted with respect the moment I entered. The staff who work in battery house were amazing (especially Ryan, one of the safety officers), they answered all my questions and showed me what was on the menu. Highly recommend the buddha bowl. Overall great friendly staff, would definitely come again!

Until the menu of their old Flame restaurant is restored, there is nothing to look forward to in this RSL.

But had a good light dinner at the Aqua, surprisingly. Arananci balls, calamari and seafood pasta and almond pie.

Fantastic location to catch up with family and friends and be social, the atmosphere of the Battery House made for a great hang out

Do not bother ordering food from the asian restaurant in the food area. Bad service and even worse food. This has been the case on two occasions will not get a third chance.

Food from the other areas has always been good.

This place is huge. Different areas throughout the place where you can eat and drink or just hang out. The sports bar is great for watching anything on the big screens. The upstairs bar has a huge screen but poor choice of drinks, whereas the sports bar has screens all over the place and much better beer options.

The staff are wonderful the upgrades really gives the club a new dimension I do miss been greeted at the top of the escalator by a very friendly Micheal or whoever is on duty I always feel that's the only thing missing.all up great job dyrsl despite the very trying year we have had.
